In the far future, Praxter is a Toa of Stone and the leader of the Knights of the Keruvim following the death of Turaga Perseus. He is also one of the founding members of the Resistance.

History[edit | edit source]

Early Life[edit | edit source]

Praxter joined the Knights of the Keruvim around the time of The Mazkertis Paradox arc, give or take a few thousand years.[1] He met David Robert Jones before Jones's death.[2]

Approximately 2000 years prior to 253,074 CMT, Praxter was one of the Knights of the Keruvim who were active on Vizima when a female Nephilim awoke in a network of underground tunnels near their camp. This was indicated by the sudden appearance of a circle of stones that was used as a portal not far from the camp and the subsequent disappearance of two new recruits, who had gone into the tunnels alone.[3] As over a hundred Knights were killed by the Nephilim in the events that followed,[4] Praxter worked with Perseus to block the entrance to the tunnels with stone to prevent any other possible Nephilim from reaching the surface.[3]

Battle against Klakk[edit | edit source]

In 253,074 CMT,[2] Praxter was on Vizima[1] when Turaga Perseus informed him that "an old enemy, and an even older friend" would soon arrive, and that Praxter must prepare himself for the encounter.[5] Praxter obeyed his Turaga and departed to train in preparation for the attack,[6] but the threat arrived merely a few hours later, heralded by the appearance of a portal in the sky.[7] Praxter saw the portal and ran to Perseus's hut,[8] where he found the enemy: Klakk.[9]

Klakk fired a blast of plasma at Praxter,[9] but he dodged it and threw a boulder in return.[10] As Klakk destroyed the boulder with the χ-blade,[11] Praxter materialized a giant fist behind Klakk that punched him away.[12] However, Klakk recovered quickly and launched a fist made of shadow energy at Praxter[13] that sent him flying into a tree.[14] Klakk then teleported in front of Praxter and swung the χ-blade at his head,[15] but Praxter rolled out of the way and ran into the forest, hoping to lure Klakk into a chase.[16] Upon realizing that Klakk was not following him, Praxter began to form a giant boulder,[17] but Klakk sensed that Praxter was using his powers in the forest, leading him to throw a fireball to start a forest fire to force Praxter out.[18] Praxter remained focused on his creation through the flames,[19] and once it was complete, he activated his Kanohi Sanok to enhance his accuracy and threw the boulder at Klakk.[20] The boulder found its target and slammed Klakk into the ground, but Klakk lifted the boulder into the air and used telepathy to project his twisted voice into Praxter's mind.[21]

As Praxter was frozen in fear,[22] Perseus reminded him of Axalara's teachings, that he had nothing to fear from the darkness.[23] This snapped Praxter out of his fearful state, giving him the courage to split Klakk's boulder in two.[24] Klakk threw the smaller chunk at Praxter and walked into Perseus's hut, using the larger chunk to block the entrance behind him.[25] After dodging the rock and hearing Perseus cry his name, Praxter forced his way into the hut and found his Turaga mortally wounded, but with no sign of Klakk.[26] With his dying breaths, Perseus revealed to Praxter that Klakk had taken some of his memories and powers, thus making him more dangerous than ever before. Perseus told Praxter to train the Knights of the Keruvim and build an army that will oppose Klakk's empire until freedom is finally brought to the universe. Praxter was also warned not to make allegiances with any force that could betray them, and was told to contact the real Klak and tell him to prepare himself for their plan.[27] As Praxter promised to defend the Keruvim and all that was righteous,[28] Perseus appointed him as the leader of the Knights of the Keruvim and allowed himself to pass into the world beyond.[29] Praxter thanked his mentor and carried his body out to the rest of the Knights,[30] who wept with Praxter for the death of their leader as the fires of the forest were extinguished by rain.[31][32] Praxter was then approached by Anatoliy Carter, who asked what Perseus had said before he died.[33] In response, Praxter told the Knights that they had been instructed to build an army that would vanquish the darkness once and for all.[34] The Knights embraced Praxter as their new leader and continued to mourn.[35]

Mission to Malchior IV[edit | edit source]

Praxter's first decision as the new leader of the Knights was to travel to Malchior IV,[36] which he told the Knights was to meet with some potential allies who Klak had not yet found.[37] Praxter and the Knights stepped through a rift[38] that led them to the top of a tall skyscraper on Malchior IV. Praxter ordered Carter to come with him and the other Knights to guard the portal, because it could not be deactivated or reactivated from that end.[39] As Praxter and Carter descended to the surface, Praxter revealed the truth about Klakk's nature to his companion,[40] who was understandably shocked. Meanwhile, the real Klak sensed Praxter's presence and used his Crast to repel himself towards him.[41] After introducing himself to Klak, Praxter warned him that he brought grave news,[42] which prompted Klak to lead the two Knights to his warehouse to discuss it further.[43] When Klak jokingly implored them not to tell his mother about what they were about to see,[44] Praxter humored him, agreeing that the Norman did not need to know.[45] Klak was slightly saddened by the mention of her name because he still missed her after all those years, but he shook it off and entered the warehouse, revealing that it contained a complex laboratory and a mechanoid.[46] When Praxter asked what the mechanoid was,[47] Klak introduced him to Trevax, an artificial being who would serve as a new vessel for Klak after his death.[48]

Praxter then informed Klak of Perseus's death[49] and revealed that he had been told to form a resistance movement against Klakk, but that it wouldn't matter if people knew that Klakk was a clone, and that Klakk had absorbed some of Perseus's memories and powers, thus making him more dangerous than ever.[50] Klak instructed Praxter to train the Knights and gather resources from anyone sympathetic to their cause, apart from Blackout's forces, who Klak stressed must not even know about the resistance's existence. Klak also requested that Praxter lead the resistance until Trevax was powerful enough to do so, at which point he should be made leader.[51] Praxter recalled that Votron and Yoriba got close to the leader of a criminal organization who could possibly help them,[52] but did not have a contingency plan in case he refused.[53][54]

Because Klakk had gained the knowledge of Klak's location from Perseus's mind, Praxter guessed that Klakk would soon arrive to kill them. Praxter suggested that they could lead Klakk into explosive-lined sewers and detonate them to bury him, which would give them the time they need to escape.[55] Klak agreed,[56] but told Praxter that he would stay behind to lead Klakk away while they escaped with Trevax, who was more important to the future of the resistance.[57] Praxter picked up Trevax and bid farewell to Klak as he left.[58] Carter was reluctant to leave Klak to face his fate alone,[59] but Praxter figured that all they could do is what they were told: save Klak's legacy and the Resistance. Praxter and Carter, with Trevax in tow, entered the portal from whence they came and reappeared on Vizima.[60]

Tunnels of the Nephilim[edit | edit source]

Back on Vizima, Praxter introduced Trevax to the Knights[61] and remembered the existence of the old Nephilim tunnel network, which Praxter commented would be perfect to hide Trevax in. When one recent recruit named Male informed Praxter that he had not heard of the tunnels, Praxter explained to him that they had been sealed off after the Nephilim awoke.[62] Praxter decided to take Carter and Male with him and Trevax to the tunnels,[63] but they were also followed by another, somewhat suspicious Knight as they set off towards the tunnel entrance.[64] Praxter was greatly relieved when he arrived at the tunnel entrance and found that it had not been disturbed since he and Perseus had blocked it over 2000 years prior. He placed his hands on the entrance and activated the Nephilim magic that kept the tunnel sealed, which caused the rocks to fall away and allow them access. Male used his Kanohi Ruru to illuminate the path ahead as they proceeded into the tunnels.[3]

About a mile into the tunnels, Praxter found some cave walls that were stained with the blood of Knights and heard the movements of a subterranean creature.[65] Just as Carter noticed that the suspicious Knight following them was not who she appeared to be,[66] the source of the sounds, a large bat-like creature, emerged from the shadows and attacked them. Fortunately, Praxter was ready for it: when Male injured one of the creature's wings, Praxter jumped up and severed the creature's head with his axe. Praxter then asked the stranger why she was following them,[67] but she started to charge an electric attack, prompting Carter to knock her unconscious with a blow to the head.[68] Praxter decided that they had no choice but to take her with them, warning the others to be on their guard for more creatures.[69]

As Praxter had predicted, the Knights soon came across a group of dormant creatures. He ordered the others to be quiet as they crossed the cavern.[70] When Carter asked what the Nephilim were,[71] Praxter divulged that the creatures around them were the Nephilim's "pets" rather than the Nephilim themselves, who were an ancient race that led a vast empire that was abandoned for reasons unknown; some of them chose to retreat underground, but others simply disappeared.[72] At last, the Knights came across the cavern Praxter was looking for: one that contained a whole swarm of pets, but also a gelatinous blob that Praxter introduced as "the Nephilim".[73] The pets surrendered their bodies to give the Nephilim a humanoid form, which accused the Knights of killing his wife. Praxter reasoned with the Nephilim by juxtaposing this crime with the crimes of his wife and informed him that a tyrant named Klak was rising to power and that Trevax was their only hope to defeat him, which was the reason for needing to hide Trevax from Klak's forces. The Nephilim agreed to allow the Knights to hide Trevax in the cave, but only if Praxter allowed the Nephilim to leave Vizima in return.[4] Despite Carter's suspicions,[74] Praxter cemented the deal with the Nephilim.[75] After the Nephilim revealed that his pets would guard Trevax in his absence,[76] Praxter led the Nephilim back up the tunnel to the surface.[77]

Praxter and the Nephilim re-emerged onto the surface, where the Nephilim savored the skies and fresh air. He asked Praxter to return his wife's remains so that she might be buried in their ancestral home.[78] Complying, Praxter took the Nephilim to his wife's grave,[79] exhumed the corpse, and returned it to him.[80] Praxter then accompanied the Nephilim to the stone circle that had been previously used to transport the Knights to Malchior IV. The Nephilim created a portal in the circle to an unknown location and disappeared,[81] the circle collapsing in his wake.[82]

Benjamin Smith[edit | edit source]

Praxter wondered what had happened to Klak,[83] but told Carter that it would be pointless to try to contact Klak because Klakk had probably already reached him and they would know the outcome of their confrontation soon enough. Instead, Praxter asked Carter to lead him to the encrypted communications transmitter so that he could contact Votron and Yoriba.[84] Carter led Praxter to the transmitter at the camp,[85] whose guards were suspiciously absent. Praxter assumed that the guards were slacking off, and proceeded to use the transmitter to send out a transmission telling Votron and Yoriba to reveal themselves to "D" (the criminal leader) and arrange a meeting between "D" and himself.[86]

Moments after Praxter left the transmitter, he was tackled by a strange unidentified human. After punching the human in the face and making his nose bleed heavily, the human stopped, apologized to Praxter, and introduced himself as Blackout.[87] When Carter appeared and asked Praxter who the human was,[88] Blackout told Praxter to play along and introduced himself to Carter as "Benjamin Smith". Praxter reluctantly added that "Benjamin Smith" had been summoned to help train the Knights. The two guards who were supposed to be guarding the tent then returned,[89] but Praxter ignored them, dragged Blackout into a tent, and demanded to know why he had come. Blackout revealed that the human disguise was merely for his own convenience, and that he had come to make an allegiance with the Knights against Ynot and Klakk.[90] Praxter saw no harm in revealing that Klakk had already killed Perseus and was likely going after the real Klak next, and asked Blackout how he intended to fight back. Blackout answered by saying that he wanted to train the Knights how to truly fight shadow.[91]

Praxter and Blackout left the tent and found themselves faced with a mob of Knights, who had already heard that "Ben" had been summoned to train them. Blackout declared that training would begin immediately and had the Knights lead him to a Void Armored mech.[92] Carter remained suspicious of "Ben" and reminded Praxter that Perseus and Klak had warned him not to trust suspicious people[93] - Praxter thought that "Ben" could be trusted, but told Carter to increase the camp's security and tell the others to be vigilant in case he was wrong.[94]

Praxter then followed Blackout to a field, where the training exercise began. Blackout scattered the Knights with gatling gunfire and charged at Praxter,[95] who instructed the Knights to use their powers as he shaped a nearby rock formation into a fist and slammed it into Blackout. Praxter then swung his hammer at Blackout, but this only served to dent his armor. Blackout responded by grabbing Praxter and throwing him at Vraice,[96] who avoided a collision by shrinking to minute size[97] while Praxter snuck away. Praxter reappeared a few moments later carrying a giant boulder which he flung at the mech,[98] but Blackout cut it in half with his mech's buzzsaw. The training exercise was then interrupted by the arrival of a rocket that crashed into a nearby forest,[99] which Blackout suggested they investigate.[100] Praxter agreed and led them into the forest.[101]

Jungle Hunt[edit | edit source]

Upon hearing movement inside the forest, Praxter ran to the source and punched the perpetrator in the gut. To Praxter's surprise, the perpetrator turned out to be Jimmy, who Praxter introduced to Blackout as "the best hunter in the Knights of the Keruvim". Praxter then contacted Vraice by radio and requested an update on his findings,[102] but Vraice informed him that neither he nor Lily had found anything.[103] Praxter tried to contact Carter next, but received no response.[104] After, Vraice was struck by an invisible enemy, Vraice reopened communication to Praxter and frantically informed him that he had made contact.[105] Praxter tried to respond to Vraice, but upon realizing that Vraice had been silenced, rushed to Vraice's last known position to investigate.[106]

Praxter, Blackout, and Jimmy arrived at the scene to see Vraice and his teammates firing at seemingly nothing.[107] After one of Vraice's Knights was attacked by the invisible enemy,[108] Praxter picked up a large boulder and threw it at the hostile's location, but the boulder crushed nothing but ground. Praxter greeted Lily and tended to the injured Knight while Jimmy searched the ground for footprints. When Praxter noticed that Vraice had disappeared,[109] the injured Knight informed Praxter that Vraice had left to follow the enemy.[110] Praxter ordered Blackout and Jimmy to follow the footprints that Jimmy had discovered while he and Lily looked for Carter.[111] Praxter produced a machete and hacked his way through the foliage as he and Lily proceeded to Carter's last known location.[112] The two Toa heard Carter's groans[113] and followed them to find him bleeding out on the ground.[114] Lily used her power over plant life to apply some natural remedies, but since Carter still needed medical attention,[115] Praxter carefully slung him over his shoulder to take him back to camp.[116]

Praxter and Lily barged past the guards at the camp and ran towards the medical tent to get Carter aid.[117] A nurse came to meet them, taking Carter off Praxter's shoulders and carrying him into a medical tent to examine his injuries.[118]

Echoes of the Past[edit | edit source]

Later, Praxter entered a tent and found Blackout, Vraice, and Jimmy, the latter of whom was operating an interrogative device that contained a set of antidermis.[119] Vraice informed Praxter that the entity who had crash-landed and attacked them in the jungle was a Makuta named Icarax, but they had captured his antidermis and were in the process of interrogating him. Vraice guessed that Praxter would know who Icarax was,[120] but Praxter had never heard of him. Icarax then announced to the Knights that Blackout was on Vizima: Praxter instructed Jimmy to tell Icarax he was wrong, but Icarax asserted that a spy of his had spotted Blackout's ship in Vizima's system.[121] Assuming that Icarax's spy was aboard Blackout's ship, Jimmy suggested sending a scout ship to investigate the Vizima system. Praxter agreed and ordered the Knights to do just that, then left and entered his personal tent with Blackout.[122] When Praxter asked to know who Icarax was, Blackout divulged that Icarax was an old enemy of his, thought long-since dead. In need of someone to blame, Praxter blamed Blackout for Carter's injuries.[123]

Praxter and Blackout then returned to Jimmy, who Praxter ordered to remain alert in case Blackout or more of Icarax's allies appeared. Jimmy informed Praxter that Vraice had gone to talk to Xin and gather the scout crew in preparation for the away-mission, but complained that the rosters for the scout crew needed to be more visible. Jimmy then joked that the rosters could be in the Nephilim tunnels, which revealed the existence of the tunnels to Blackout, much to Praxter's annoyance.[124] Praxter was forced to explain to Blackout that a Nephilim once lived in the tunnels on Vizima before he left of his own accord, but lied by saying that the Knights had searched the tunnels and found nothing else. Upon receiving a telepathic message from the Sabre, Blackout told Praxter that he would return before leaving into the forest to teleport away.[125]

Meeting with Kakamu[edit | edit source]

Vraice brought Merax to Praxter,[126] who informed Praxter, Vraice, and Jimmy that Nick and Sam were on scout duty that week, then left.[127] Praxter wondered aloud where "Ben" had gone,[128] to which Vraice quipped that he had been "busy with his cover identity or something".[129] Before Praxter could respond, the Force Ghost of Seran Dol-Abi manifested in front of them and declared that he had come to warn them about something.[130] However, his appearance was overshadowed by the reappearance of Blackout, who was still in his "Benjamin Smith" disguise, but accompanied by a living legend: Kakamu.[131] Kakamu noticed Seran and banished him, apologizing to everyone present, because Seran liked to follow him around and warn him about events that were often irrelevant to him.[132] Praxter was surprised to learn that Blackout and Kakamu were allies, and asked Kakamu if he had come to help them against Icarax and Klakk,[133] to which Kakamu replied that he had. Kakamu then explained to the Knights that Ynot now posed a threat equal to Klakk, and asked the Knights to join him and Blackout in their quest to stop Klakk and Ynot, which unintentionally exposed Blackout's real identity to Jimmy and Vraice.[134] Praxter could do nothing but hang his head in shame as the truth was revealed to his friends and allies.[135]

Kakamu told the gathered Knights that Blackout could be trusted and begged them to join their alliance before all could be lost to Klakk and Ynot's lust for power.[136] The Knights were not pleased by the prospect of an alliance with Blackout, but resigned to the fact that it might be necessary to defeat Klakk and Ynot.[137] While Kakamu admired his surroundings, he noticed that the device containing Icarax had started to freeze over, prompting him to point this out to the Knights.[138] Praxter and Blackout leaped to attention, but were unable to stop Icarax's antidermis from escaping and flying out of the tent to freedom. Praxter cursed,[139] but Blackout encouraged him not to chase Icarax because Icarax could not get far without a body and because they had more important things to do.[140]

Praxter and Blackout walked away from the tent to talk to each other alone. Praxter pointed out that Blackout needed a wider front than just Kakamu and the Knights of the Keruvim, but Blackout assured him that he had someone else in mind for their alliance who could rally millions to their cause.[141] When Praxter and Blackout returned to the tent, they saw none other than Klak standing inside. Praxter was overwhelmed with joy and relief upon seeing Klak alive, and could not help but hug him.[142] Klak told Praxter, Blackout, and all other gathered parties that he had discovered that Klakk had been impersonating him while he was in self-exile researching how to defeat Klakk. Klak added that his climactic battle against Klakk on Malchior IV had resulted in Klakk's disappearance, but warned his allies that Klakk's agents were still furthering their plans in his absence.[143] Blackout accused Klak of allowing Klakk to rise to power by hiding in the first place, which angered both Praxter[144] and Klak.[145] After Blackout had his normal armor teleported down from his ship,[146] Praxter and Blackout heard Kakamu sobbing and went to investigate.[147] When Praxter asked Kakamu what was wrong,[148] Kakamu revealed that he had just seen his son die.[149] Klak then asked to speak to Praxter privately,[150] prompting Kakamu and Blackout to leave the tent.[151]

Klak scorned Praxter for the alliances he was making,[152] which sent Praxter flying into a rage, because he didn't want to ally with Blackout either but felt that he had no choice, especially because neither Ynot nor the Vrai were in a position to help them.[153] Klak reluctantly accepted what Praxter was saying, but asked for a contingency plan.[154] Praxter revealed that his contingency plan was to go underground and wait for their enemies to kill each other until there was but one left.[155] When Kakamu entered the tent and asked Praxter what his plan was,[156] Praxter just told him what he had told Klak.[157] Klak requested that Praxter and Kakamu keep this between them to avoid demoralizing or fragmenting the alliance.[158]

The Gathering[edit | edit source]

A large metallic device then slammed into the ground in front of them[159] and projected a hologram of the long-since deceased David Robert Jones, who asked to know what year it was.[160] Praxter informed him that it was 253,074 CMT, but was confused because he had only met Jones once before, around 100,000 years prior, and Jones died soon afterwards. Jones explained that the hologram pod had been launched because he was dead, and asked Klak what the status of F-Klak was.[2] Klak revealed to him that F-Klak had been dealt with,[161] which noticeably worried Jones,[162] but Klak dismissed his concerns and left.[163] Jones warned Praxter to be wary of Klak, because he feared that Klak had swindled them.[164]

The following day, Praxter met with Blackout and Anzu, the latter of whom had arrived to negotiate an alliance on behalf of the Dominion.[165] Once Anzu had left for the negotiations tent, Blackout asked Praxter why the tent they had met in the day before (and the tent that David Robert Jones's pod had landed in) had been cordoned off - Praxter lied and said it was because a meteorite had crashed there.[166] Praxter then proceeded to the negotiations tent and took a seat at the table across from Blackout, Barricade, and Xintrix.[167] Blue followed them into the tent accompanied by some aesthetic smoke,[168] but Praxter did not know her,[169] so she introduced herself, her abilities, and proclaimed her willingness to help.[170] Praxter doubted that her magical abilities could match Malygos's, but he accepted her presence at the table.[171] However, something in Blue's smoke caused Anzu to choke and collapse in front of Praxter,[172] prompting Blue to banish the smoke[173] and Malygos to appear in the tent save him.[174] Just as it seemed that things were calming down, the Tri-Daleli Lasangamas of LMAO-Prime appeared.[175] Blackout[176] and Malygos declared the meeting to be a shambles and left to talk outside. It is unknown how Praxter responded.[177]

A Life Well Lived[edit | edit source]

"He'd been there when F-Klak killed Perseus, narrowly escaped the inferno of Corrantia, and he was at the Gates of Silent Memory the day everything finally went to hell. He and a few others had sworn back then to keep the fight going. Most of them were probably long dead by now. He never thought it would lead him to this."
Narrator, Stargazer Chapter 2: A Picture in a Frame

In the intervening years between the end of the FRPG and the beginning of Stargazer, Praxter experienced the "inferno of Corrantia" and was at the Gates of Silent Memory when "everything finally went to hell". Despite these horrors, he swore to preserve the Resistance.[178]

Stargazer: A New Hope[edit | edit source]

An unknown amount of time later, the remnants of the Resistance discovered that the governor of a certain sector of space was purchasing slaves. The Resistance discerned where the next exchange would take place and made plans to intercept it in the hope that they would learn the identities of the perpetrators and bring them to justice. Praxter was one of the rebels who accompanied fellow Resistance members Prush and Ezracellion aboard the Rocinante on the mission.[179]

When the Rocinante's AI, Liz, notified them that the slaves were clear of the transport, the rebels launched their assault. Praxter loaded a rocket launcher and fired a rocket at two of the slavers: Arante, and a male Red Lantern: the explosion did not seem to affect Arante, but the Red Lantern was knocked off his feet by the blast. Praxter then fought alongside two other rebels against Arante, but these two rebels were soon killed. However, one of the escaped slaves, a Skrall named Sal'e, distracted Arante by shooting her in the shoulder with a discarded rifle she had found. This gave Praxter the opportunity he needed to create a fist-shaped stone construct that he slammed into Arante, damaging her armor to the point where she decided to retreat.[179]

As the remaining slavers decided to cut their losses and flee without their cargo, Praxter introduced himself to Sal'e as a member of the Resistance. As Sal'e had not heard of the Resistance, Praxter correctly guessed that she was from another universe, which Sal'e revealed was the Shattered Mirror Universe through the usage of the term "Shattered Mirror". Praxter explained to her that the Resistance was composed of multiple cells spread across the universe to oppose the rule of Klak, the "bad man", but this unintentionally inspired her to join. Praxter was reluctant to accept Sal'e's request due to her young age and inexperience, but told her that he would discuss the matter with his allies. He then instructed her to tell the other former slaves that the Resistance would arrange for them to be sent back to their own universe.[179]

Stargazer: Fugitives of Z'traa[edit | edit source]

Later, the crew of the Rocinante (which now included Sal'e) landed on Z'traa to restock on weapons and ammunition. The crew were greeted at the landing pad by their weapons dealer, a flirtatious Vrai named Didier, whose pathetic attempt to seduce Sal'e was angrily rebuffed by both Sal'e and Praxter. Didier relented and led the rebels into his shop, but when he tried to make conversation with Sal'e again, she punched him in the face. The rebels completed the order and left the shop without paying, which confused Sal'e, prompting Praxter to explain that Liz would wirelessly transfer the money to Didier's account once the goods had been delivered to the Rocinante. Once Sal'e had convinced the crew that they all needed to take shore leave, Praxter attached himself to Sal'e to keep her out of trouble while she explored the unfamiliar world. Unfortunately, Praxter and Sal'e soon found themselves in the worst kind of trouble: Liz called Praxter to tell him that Didier had been murdered in their absence, and a holographic billboard above them labelled Sal'e as the murder suspect, with surveillance footage of her punching Didier used to implicate her. Praxter took Sal'e's hand and ran, but a Vrai law enforcement vehicle blocked their escape. The Vrai in the vehicle fired stun weapons at Praxter and Sal'e that knocked both rebels unconscious.[178]

Praxter and Sal'e were taken to the district's police headquarters, but Praxter was freed because the police could not find an actual crime to charge him with. Upon learning that Prush and Ezzie were on the run and had supposedly killed two police officers, Praxter visited Sal'e in her cell to update her on everything that had happened. Praxter promised Sal'e that he would return to free her once he had found whoever was responsible, then left in search of answers. Upon noticing a suspicious one-eyed being on a bench nearby, Praxter made a note of the being and walked to a monument called the Glass Tree in the hope that the suspicious being would follow him. Praxter took a moment to reflect on his life, but snapped out of it when he noticed the suspicious being appear in the reflection of the monument. Praxter opened a channel to Liz and instructed her to keep the channel permanently open and record everything she heard until she received a signal, after which she would stop and broadcast the recording on all frequencies. Praxter walked after the suspicious being after receiving her confirmation.[178]

When the suspicious being noticed Praxter following him, he pulled a gun on Praxter and forced him into an old stone building across from the Glass Tree. He then introduced himself as Von Leod, a contract killer who had arrived on Z'traa to collect the bounty on Didier's head. He explained that he had only framed Sal'e and her friends because they happened to be in the right place at the right time to use to cover his tracks. When Praxter pointed out that Von Leod had failed to incriminate him, Von Leod revealed that he had a disintegrator gun to amend this flaw in his plan. Praxter then gave Liz the signal to broadcast the audio recording of his and Von Leod's conversation, which she did, informing the Vrai authorities of the identity of the real murderer as well as his present location. Von Leod fired at Praxter, but he dodged the blast and used his powers over stone to send loose stone bricks of the building flying into Von Leod and batter him into unconsciousness. As Vrai police forces rushed up the building, Praxter returned the stones back to their former positions in the walls and waited.[178]

Abilities & Powers[edit | edit source]

Elemental Powers
  • Stone Creation: Praxter can create varying amounts of stone and rock matter by channelling elemental Stone energy through his hands or Toa Tool.
  • Stone Control: Praxter can achieve telekinetic control over most forms of stone and rock and can shift it to create small hills and caverns with ease.
  • Stone Absorption: Praxter can absorb certain amounts of stone matter into his body, which becomes stored for future use when using his elemental powers.
  • Stone Nova Blast: In extreme circumstances, Praxter could release all of his elemental energy in the form of a stone Nova Blast, which would be an explosion of rocks equivalent to the amount of elemental energy he had stored.
Mask Powers
  • Enhanced Accuracy: Praxter's Kanohi Sanok, Mask of Accuracy, increases his accuracy with thrown objects and ranged weapons to an extreme degree when activated.
