Moonman is the apparent arch-enemy of Boltman.

History[edit | edit source]

Legends of the Moon[edit | edit source]

In HahaJ'UsT-Seying-related folklore, Moonman is a legendary figure who is said to disturb people in their sleep by rapping loudly late at night. Superstitious people familiar with this lore are known to leave carvings, drawings, or other depictions of Boltman outside their sleeping areas in order to scare Moonman away (similar to how it is traditional for some Native American cultures to use dreamcatchers to ward off nightmares).[1]

In 150,084 CMT (Day 4 of The Mazkertis Paradox arc), Space Ryan Gosling used the end of his hammer to carve a picture of Boltman into the woodwork of his makeshift shelter on Meme World to ward off Moonman. The legend of Moonman frightened Sasha, so Hassan-ill-Sabbah comforted the Memes Kid by promising him that, if Moonman did appear, he would challenge him to a rap battle and make a fool of the moon-faced menace.[1]

Preparing for Battle[edit | edit source]

On Day 11, Moonman relaxed with a beer in his secret moonbase while he watched a news report presented by Neil Matheson. Moonman called over one of his assistants, a Racist Poison Rabbit Entity Cat, to ask if it had an opinion about the report, to which the RPREC replied that it was disgusted by Matheson because he was a human and it hated humans. Moonman replied that not all humans were bad, gesturing to a picture of Gabriel Ascheron. Moonman then saw that the news report on the TV was about the assassination of the Galactic Government Commander-in-Chief Kong, who had been murdered with a large lightning bolt-shaped object and had his office defaced with the words "IT BEGINS". Moonman recognized the lightning bolt weapon and the phrase as trademarks of Boltman, indicating that his arch-enemy had finally returned to rid the universe of anime. Moonman ordered the RPREC to inform his agent that the next music album would be delayed because he had "more important work to do", retrieving an M4A1 assault rifle as he prepared for the inevitable showdown with Boltman.[1]

Meanwhile, the Heller decided to stop antagonizing his brother the Heckler because there were already too many "mortal enemy" duos in the universe, including Moonman and Boltman.[2]

Later that day, Moonman travelled through a portal to Kalta Thaea and arrived at the initial gathering of the Kindred of Dawn. Moonman handed Gabriel Ascheron a manila envelope containing an intelligence report that Ascheron had requested. Ascheron invited Moonman to join the Kindred because with their resources they could solve all of his problems - Moonman declined the offer, but reminded Ascheron that he was owed a favor in return for the intelligence report and promised that he would "cash in" when the time was right. Moonman then cackled and left the scene by stepping through the same portal that he had arrived from.[2]

On Day 76, Moonman hired Cory Baxter and the cast of Cory in the House to ambush Boltman in the city of Yur Wai-Fu. The attack was successful and Boltman was captured, prompting Moonman to play his piano in celebration.[3]
