Metroplex was a Toa of Steel and a member of the Toa Catastras.

History[edit | edit source]

In 150,080 CMT, Metroplex was created when Catalyx crashed into Chenrotoss and released energy that turned a group of travelling cacti into the Toa Catastras. Catalyx instructed the newly-formed Catastras that their purpose was to kill Naju. Metroplex and his teammates got into a few fights and died a few times, but always returned to life somehow.[1] The Catastras were later summoned by Catalyx to help him and their sworn enemy Naju, along with Ta'harok and Farpoint, prevent Blackout from activating the Conduit aboard the Mata Nui II. In the Battle of Mata Nui II, Metroplex and his teammates attacked Blackout as individuals but soon merged into Lonka for greater power.[2] The Catastras remained fused as Lonka until Lonka (and therefore the component Catastras) turned into fudge and were irreversibly absorbed by Parkin.[3]

Abilities & Powers[edit | edit source]

Kanohi Powers[edit | edit source]

  • Traction: Metroplex's Mask of Traction enabled himself and targeted allies to stick to any surface, even upside down.[1]

Elemental Powers[edit | edit source]

Metroplex was listed as a "Toa of Steel", which seems redundant given the fact that steel is made of iron and Toa of Iron can control most known metals. If we assume that Metroplex could only control steel, these were his abilities:

  • Steel Creation: Metroplex could create steel constructs by projecting elemental Steel energy from his hands.[4]
  • Steel Control: Metroplex had complete telekinetic control over steel and could shape it into other forms.[4]
  • Steel Absorption: Metroplex could absorb certain amounts of steel into his body, which became stored for use in future elemental attacks.[4]
  • Steel Nova Blast: If he had to, Metroplex could have released all of his elemental energy in the form of a steel Nova Blast, which would have been an explosion large enough to devastate an area the size of a large city.[4]
