The Instructor was a female artificial intelligence who served as the main interface program and narrator of the Akashic Records.

History[edit | edit source]

In 2019, the Instructor was ordered to break the fourth wall for the first time in order to inform the readers of Chapter 19 of The Mazkertis Paradox archive of the true nature of the BZPB Multiverse by establishing a contextual reference for events to come. The Instructor introduced herself to the reader and explained the structure of the multiverse by comparing it to a glass ball with several outer layers, with the outermost layer being Akasha. The Instructor described Akasha as the "soul of Creation", a dimension that the Users designed as a repository for the creative energies that fuelled all things in the multiverse, which was located in a less-tangible layer of reality above the Knowledge Dimension. The Instructor attempted to explain what the area directly below the Knowledge Dimension was, but stopped when she realized that she had not been authorized to describe it. However, she stated that if one were to continue downwards through this model of reality, they would eventually find themselves at the top of the "Eleventh Dimension"; also known as the Hyperdimension, which was the home of the Chousin.[1]

The Instructor continued by explaining that the Hyperdimension existed above the lower ten dimensions of the BZPB Multiverse, which contained all regular universes, their associated dimensions, and the entirety of everything else. On a different subject, the Instructor informed the reader that, in response to the increasing raids on the Knowledge Dimension, its Archivists had created the "Canonical Directive": a creed that stated that any information that was henceforth stolen from the dimension would be hunted down and extracted from the minds of whoever stole it, and that, if the stolen information had been used to make changes to any other reality or universe, those changes would be reverted by one of the Knowledge Dimension's to-be-appointed "canon agents" through careful, responsible manipulation of time. The Instructor specifically mentioned that one named Guinan had taken the initiative to resurrect one of the Reborn Universe's most powerful leaders to turn her into one of the first canon agents. Having completed her narration, the Instructor closed the fourth wall to allow the reader to proceed with the chapter.[1]
