The Ptolemaios was a Ptolemaios-class cruiser owned by Kevin McNamara.

History[edit | edit source]

In 150,081 CMT, Kevin McNamara picked up Ta'harok from the City at Night in the Ptolemaios to take him to John Shepard. Surprised by Ta'harok's compliance, McNamara guessed that he had only agreed to come so that he could get closer to Shepard, which Ta'harok confirmed. During their journey, McNamara and Ta'harok noticed Veronica Santangelo in the Aries locked in combat with the Bebop II at Teikoku-no-Kiroku, which concerned McNamara because Santangelo was not supposed to be that far from Zion space. Ta'harok announced that he would save Veronica, ran into the ship's hangar, and flew the Epyon out into space while McNamara watched.[2]

After the Epyon rammed the Bebop II with such force that it collided with Teikoku-no-Kiroku,[2] Zev Raregroove teleported into the Epyon and warned Ta'harok to cease his assault or be faced with death.[3] Ta'harok claimed that Zion were forcing him to attack Teikoku-no-Kiroku because they wanted all the data kept aboard it destroyed,[4] but Zev simply repeated his threat and teleported away.[5] Left with the choice of whether to face the wrath of Zev or the wrath of Zion, Ta'harok chose the latter, using the Epyon to grab the Aries and hurl it towards the Ptolemaios. Although the Aries' autopilot function landed it safely inside the Ptolemaios, McNamara decided to cut his losses and leave, with the Ptolemaios entering warp.[6] The Ptolemaios then docked at Side 8.[7]

The Ptolemaios was presumably destroyed when Blackout used his Arrow N40 missiles to obliterate the Zion Cluster.[8]
