Ithorian mines were explosive devices that, when attached to a target, would explode if the target moved after the device was armed. Ithorian mines were a favored weapon of D-Klak.

History[edit | edit source]

A battle that occurred when Rahn and Barricade faced off against Klak and D-Klak ended when D-Klak inserted an Ithorian mine into Rahn's body. However, Rahn was saved when the mine was removed by Barricade.[1]

In 150,080 CMT, D-Klak forced Uterio di Armechio to stop attacking him in the Battle of BZPower by strapping an Ithorian mine to his chest armor. After D-Klak said "You know the rules buddy. Move, and there'll be nothing left of the Di Armechio", Rahn noticed the Ithorian mine and commented "Funny, I almost got killed by one of those!". D-Klak then teleported himself, Nadle, Rahn, and the other Apprentices of Caiaphus off Uterio's spaceship to leave Uterio to figure out how to remove the Ithorian mine himself.[2] When Abneris informed D-Klak that Uterio was not responding to the Great Beings' communications, D-Klak revealed that it was because Uterio was "kind of... stuck to a mine right now.".[3]

Later, D-Klak strapped another Ithorian mine onto Rahn, but Rahn destroyed it with a shadow blast before it could become armed.[4]

In 150,081 CMT, D-Klak strapped an Ithorian mine to Lexaeus when he fought him in a Tournament aboard Space Station 31337. D-Klak threatened that he was willing to let the mine blow them both up unless Lexaeus was willing to negotiate his surrender.[5] Impressed by D-Klak's willingness to sacrifice himself to achieve victory, Lexaeus let him win, but left him the following warning: "Such actions will not work on the mad, like one opponent you may face in the future."[6]

Later, D-Klak used an Ithorian mine to destroy an enemy drone during a battle on Metallica.[7] Later still, D-Klak attached an Ithorian mine to a Uterian guard while storming a building in one of Uterio's encampments. The guard, who recognized what the mine was, was left with no choice but to stand still in order to avoid triggering the mine while D-Klak proceeded past him further into the building.[8]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Ithorians are a sentient species in the Star Wars universe. Ironically, they are a peaceful species that only resort to violence when absolutely necessary.

  1. Rahn (OU) (revision on 14:28, Jun 20, 2013): "Rahn later joined with SM Nadle and Klak (then turned evil) to help Blackout fight Ynot and D-Klak. Their attacks proved nearly meaningless, until Rahn and Barricade faced off against the two Klaks. A vicious battle followed, ending with D-Klak placing a Ithoran mine in Rahn's body. This meant that the moment he moved, he would be blown to smithereens. However, this mine was removed by Barricade."
