"Let me feed..."
The Ipomal shapeshifter to Praepositus[1]

In the far future, the Ipomal shapeshifter was a shape-changing entity that inhabited the ruins of Ipomal.

History[edit | edit source]

In 253,074 CMT, the shapeshifter took an interest in Praepositus after a Terugan Elite exiled the human into the ruined city of Ipomal, which had presumably served as the shapeshifter's home for some time. Assuming the form of a Rock Lord from Praepositus's memory, the shapeshifter trailed the human stealthily until it crushed a small critter beneath its foot,[2] which caused Praepositus to turn around and notice the creature.[3] Praepositus instantly recognized the image of the Rock Lord and backed away in horror,[4] swinging a small dagger at the creature in an attempt to keep it at bay. Although the shapeshifter stopped its approach and said "Let me feed..." in an almost-human voice,[1] Praepositus continued to defend himself by dashing over to the creature and stabbing it in the gut. Despite the apparent injury, the shapeshifter seemed to smile, and the skin around the wound turned into a black jelly[5] before the rest of the creature collapsed into a puddle of the same black slime. Instead of resuming the Rock Lord disguise, the shapeshifter then solidified and reformed itself into a perfect copy of Praepositus himself.[6]

The shapeshifter then said "Let me out..." in an indistinct, growling manner,[6] but before Praepositus could respond, a tiny clown appeared and teleported him away.[7]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The subplot involving the Ipomal shapeshifter was cut short by a tiny clown because, in User:Heat's own words: "This plot was stupid".[7]
