The Hellsing Family was one of three families who each received a third of the original Killer Stone.

History[edit | edit source]

The original Killer Stone was exorcised by a ascetic monk and split into three pieces that were to be guarded by three families, each located far apart but united in their virtues: the Hellsing Family, the Glory-Raregroove Family, and the Joestar Family. The Glory-Raregroove Family discovered that each of the fragments contained an avatar of the kitsune goddess that created the stone, meaning that the Hellsing Family also received a spirit like Asabana.[1]

In 150,081 CMT, Zev Raregroove educated Makoto Nanaya on the origins of the Killer Stone and the role that the Hellsing Family played in its fragmentation.[1]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • 'Hellsing' (and its original spelling 'Helsing') is a common name in vampire-related literature due to it being part of the name of Abraham Van Helsing, a character in Bram Stoker's famous 1897 novel Dracula.
  • It is unclear whether this Hellsing Family was intended to be the same family as that of Valkenhayn R. Hellsing or another family entirely. To complicate matters is the fact that 'Hellsing' is also a Japanese anime and manga series that this might have been a reference to.
