In the Reborn Universe, the Baal was a interstellar warship owned by the Enders.

Description[edit | edit source]

The Baal was a interstellar warship manufactured by the Trilagons that was completely covered with outward-facing weapons to the point where it almost resembled a gigantic sea urchin instead of a spaceship. The Baal had no entrance or exit points, requiring its crewmembers to harness teleportation devices to get in and out.[1]

History[edit | edit source]

In 10 AR, the Baal carried a group of Enders to the Galactic Council Asteroid Belt so that the Enders onboard could put forward a request for information to the Galactic Council. When the Baal entered the system, Galactic Council engineers disabled the ship's weapons systems for safety reasons, though they assured its crew that full system functionality would be restored upon leaving the system. However, due to the fact that most people did not understand Trilagon technology, including the aforementioned engineers, the Enders were able to implement workarounds that enabled them to keep some of the Baal's weapons systems online without the Galactic Council's knowledge.[1]

While the Baal docked with the Guest Asteroid to be scanned and processed, Niflheim watched the mission unfold from afar aboard his own ship because he knew that he would not be allowed onto the station due to his reputation as a notorious mass murderer and criminal.[1] Aboard the Baal, Barry Bavi and Tayne were eagerly discussing an upcoming contract when Chad teleported behind them and interrupted them by announcing that he intended to reach their leads before they could. However, the two Enders were unfazed by Chad's threats, proceeding to remind him that he was not allowed on the ship. Before Chad could respond, one of the Enders teleported him out of the Baal and onto the Guest Asteroid, where he began to angrily sulk over his perceived mistreatment.[2] Moments later, the DTTK Tachibana emerged from hyperspace and opened fire on the diplomatic reception asteroid,[3] gaining the attention of Bavi and Tayne.[4]
