Osiris was the father of Horus and the ruler of the Osirians up until his death at the hands of Set.

History[edit | edit source]

At some point, Osiris was apparently dismembered by Set to prove his allegiance to Uterio di Armechio. However, Osiris survived or was resurrected somehow, regarding the incident as "fun" and retaining Set as an ally.[1]

During the Battle of Liquid-Metallicon, Osiris contacted Set via a long-distance telecommunication to let him know that he found his decision to ally himself with the Pirate Lords of Liquid-Metallicon distasteful because he regarded the Pirate Lords as "scum". Set replied by saying that the alliance was the will of his new master, Uterio di Armechio, reminding Osiris that he had previously cut him up to illustrate his change of loyalty. Osiris ordered Set to report back after the battle because he wanted to hear the tales of dismemberment that would ensue, especially the dismemberment of those who believed in the Shepherd.[1]

After the battle, Osiris met with Set in the former's throne room. Osiris berated Set for failing to kill Ynot, who Osiris regarded as a simple Makuta. However, Set, drunk on the power of Mjolnir, came to realize that he no longer had to tolerate Osiris. Set used the hammer to strike Osiris with lightning and savagely break his body into little pieces, replacing him as the leader of the Osirians.[2]

Osiris's remains were placed in a sarcophagus by his son Horus, who planned to perform experiments with them.[2]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Osiris is an adaptation of the Egyptian god of the same name. His dismemberment at the hands of Set and subsequent resurrection mirrors the history of the version from Egyptian mythology.
