Gene was a spaceship pilot who crash-landed on Archon-7 with his passenger, Nadira.
Description[edit | edit source]
Gene was an anthropomorphic gecko-like lizard with a lean build and slicked-back hair. He was attired in light combat gear with a pair of goggles perched on his head, and appeared not to sport any visible weapons.[1]
History[edit | edit source]
In 150,084 CMT, Gene lost control of his spaceship and crashed it into the surface of Archon-7.[2] Gene emerged from the shipwreck unscathed but got into a heated argument with his passenger, Nadira, which ended with him being punched in the face. Once Gene had picked himself up, he followed Dee towards a nearby cave that they both hoped could provide them shelter from the ongoing sandstorm.[3] However, Evander startled them by suddenly emerging from the cave entrance, which led Dee to draw her SMG and order Evander to identify himself.[4] Evander claimed that he posed no threat and took a step towards them instead,[5] but Dee fired a warning shot at his feet[6] and forced him back into the cave. Audibly lamenting Dee's hostility,[7] Gene followed Dee and Evander into the cave and found Trantoshen inside, who Dee also held at gunpoint and asked to state his business on Archon-7.[1] In response, Trantoshen educated Dee about the Toa species and explained that he was on Archon-7 in search of an artifact of great power.[8] In an attempt to break the ice, Gene formally introduced Dee and himself to Trantoshen and Evander and informed them that he and Dee had crashed their spaceship and were looking for a way off the planet.[9] Trantoshen suggested that Evander could fix their ship,[10] which Gene hoped was possible.[11]
Trantoshen then showed Dee the Relic and asked if she had ever seen anything like it before,[12] which somehow caused the Relic to emit a Jopulon energy signature that alerted DU Monarch. DU Monarch immediately teleported to their location, trapped Trantoshen and Evander in stasis fields, and ordered Dee to hand him the Relic.[12] Instead, Dee tossed the Relic to a worried Gene and activated her combat knife, daring DU Monarch to take it from her.[13]
