EnPro Tech is a technology company that was acquired by Gentech.
History[edit | edit source]
In 150,083 CMT, EnPro stock dipped in value when CEO Neil McTavish was accused of embezzlement because trillions of dollars in revenue had been transferred to his personal account. McTavish denied the allegations but could not explain how the money had ended up in his account. Later in the week, EnPro Tech was purchased by a rival firm, Gentech. The CEO of Gentech, Joseph Heller, commented that he was sure the transfer of money to McTavish's account was just a "clerical error". The EnPro Tech embezzlement controversy and subsequent takeover by Gentech was reported on by Eliza Cassan on behalf of Picus Communications.[1]
