Xelor is the Grand Chronomaster of the Order of the Great Beings and a being who is said to have dominion over time. He is the deity worshiped by various servants of time, such as the Timekeepers, in addition to the Xelor species, which he created to inhabit the Twelve Worlds.
History[edit | edit source]
Xelor was mentioned in 150,082 CMT when Mia and R'magdi met in a restaurant on Malchior IV to discuss how Ynot had changed the timeline by travelling to Ragnarok and saving Klak's life, therefore changing Klak's destiny. R'magdi stated that Ynot's actions had caused Ynot to "[jump] straight to passing the third Rite of a Destroyer of Time", and that Ynot would soon be seeking other opportunities to change time as a result, which would signal "you-know-who" to take the stage. R'magdi added that she would attempt to "barter with the fates" to steer Ynot from this path, hoping that the god Xelor would not punish her for doing so.[1]
The Kingdom[edit | edit source]
During The Mazkertis Paradox arc, the internal conflicts of the Order of the Great Beings prevented Xelor from taking action to stop Mazkertis from rewriting the timelines of multiple universes, leading to the collapse of time and space. Xelor was one of many beings who were integrated into the Kingdom, where his time-sensitive abilities enabled him to remain aware of his history prior to the Collapse and granted him a seat at the Council of Seven. Xelor sat among the Council when Genetoes brought them a version of Quolas from before the Collapse, as well as Quolas's companion Sarah Edmontons. In the meeting, Xelor told Quolas that the civilization of the Kingdom was created by the Council of Seven after the Collapse, and that the Council also created the Archive to document everything in the Kingdom in the hope that the remaining fragments of the multiverse's history could reveal the circumstances that led to the Collapse and show them a way to restore the multiverse. When Quolas asked Xelor if he knew about his quest to defeat Mazkertis, Xelor replied that the Council knew of Quolas's existence from the Archive and from the little useful information that the Kingdom's own Quolas had been able to provide them.[2]
