Thought transmitter
A thought transmitter is a device capable of transmitting one's thoughts across long distances, typically into the minds of whoever the subject is thinking about.
Function & Design[edit | edit source]
The only known thought transmitter to exist in the Original Universe consists of three components: A right thought analyzer, a left thought analyzer, and the transmitter itself. The left and right thought analyzers were built into two parallel walls in the throne room of The Reformed Second Brotherhood of Makuta's base on Stelta-Stal, with the transmitter itself located somewhere else in the base, likely in the room above. This is so that Makuta Starok could make use of the thought transmitter while sitting on his throne.
Essentially, all the thought transmitter did was extend the mental reach of characters with telepathic powers. While it would be possible for a non-telepathic being to use the machine, they would need to be trained in its operation.
In order to use the thought transmitter, all the subject had to do was sit or stand between the two thought analyzers, think very clearly about the message they wished to send, and focus on whoever they wanted to send it to.
The origin of and science behind the thought transmitter remains a mystery.
History[edit | edit source]
When the The Reformed Second Brotherhood of Makuta were first building their base on Stelta-Stal's core, Makuta Starok requested that the thought transmitter be built into his throne room so that he could instantly communicate with other beings across the galaxy.
Starok used the thought transmitter to contact many beings over the years, and to sense the location of Kivalon and Xikila when they first arrived in the Original Universe.
After the Battle of Stelta-Stal all-but destroyed the TrSBoM, Shattered Mirror Kakamu used the thought transmitter to contact the surviving members of his Shattered Mirror invasion forces and ask them to meet him on XTR-686.
Alternate Universes[edit | edit source]
- In the Shattered Mirror Universe, the Brotherhood of Makuta built an experimental thought transmitter that SM Kakamu once used.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The thought transmitter was added into BZPB canon retroactively when User:Kon realized that Starok's infinite telepathic reach was not an ability that was normally displayed by the Makuta in BZPB. Instead, telepathic BZPB characters only used telepathy when they were within reasonable distance of whoever they wished to use it on. Kon retconned Starok's far-reaching telepathy as an amplification of his normal telepathy through the use of the thought transmitter in order to save face.
