The Space Marines was a branch of the Galactic Government's armed forces that conducted military operations within the Galactic Government's territories.
History[edit | edit source]
One notable member of the Space Marines was the legendary Vice-Admiral Garp D. Monkey, who was said to be a warrior on par with his son, Dragon D. Monkey, the leader of the Revolutionary Army.[1]
It was said that the only people who remembered the Void Millennium were either in the Space Marines, elsewhere in the Galactic Government, or dead.[2] However, this did not apply to Deathsaurus, who was a member of neither.[3]
After Olivier Mira Armstrong paid a group of space pirates to take Coco away from Fort Briggs, the pirates chained Coco up in a spare escape pod and left her to be discovered by the Space Marines so that she would no longer be their problem. Although Coco described the group of Space Marines who rescued her as being "really really nice", with their captain even helping her when she got her head stuck in a bucket once, the Space Marines soon grew tired of Coco and put her back in the chained-up escape pod before dumping it on the most out-of-the-way planet they could find so that they would no longer have to deal with her.[4][5]
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The Space Marines were an adaptation of the Marines organization from the manga/anime series One Piece.

- ↑ Void Millennium (revision on 23:38, Feb 27, 2010): "There is no such thing as the Void Millenium! What? You say there is? Well, you're wrong! If the Void Millenium really did happen, then how come no one can remember it? (It's not that no one can remember it -- It's that those who do are, generally, either in the G.G. or Space Marines or dead. - The Laughing Man)"
- ↑ Deathsaurus (revision on 10:00, Feb 22, 2012): "Deathsaurus, aka Shadow Stealer, is a VERY old Cybertronian space pirate. So old in fact, that he actually remembers the Void Millenium."
- ↑ Coco (revision on 23:01, May 11, 2011): "After a supremely long absence, Coco has reappeared tracking down and promptly glomping Zev Raregroove aboard the Bebop II. According to her, Vi dropped her off at a military base, who proceeded to dump her on some Space Pirates, who then left her to be the problem of some random Space Marines. Apparently, the Marines were very nice, and their Captain helped her after she got her head stuck in a bucket. She was soon dropped off on Kalta Thaea, where she ran straight to the ship; got entry with her Military Personnel Card; and located Zev in due course."
