Sirenla was a meek member of the Adventurers Guild who had an aggressive split personality named Wren.
Description[edit | edit source]
Sirenla was somewhat short for an elf. She had gray hair and bright green eyes. Her favorite drink was the White Russian.[2]
History[edit | edit source]
Sirenla was a member of the Adventurers Guild[3] who first met Blue on a quest that involved the evil dark elf Karrasaliss. On a later quest, Sirenla worked with Blue and a few other allies to rescue Eagle from enslavement by Karrasaliss. These events helped solidify Sirenla's friendship with Blue.[4]
In 150,082 CMT, Sirenla was hanging out in The Place That Wasn't There Yesterday when she was suddenly tackled by Blue,[5] who began to gush about how much she had missed her.[6] Sirenla replied that she had also been looking for Blue and promised that she would tell her about the events of her "really long" day as soon as she had had something to drink. In response, Blue dragged Sirenla to the bar and ordered her favorite drink, a White Russian, while ordering a strawberry daiquiri for herself.[7] Sirenla was then left at the bar for a few minutes while Blue danced with Sasuken.[8] When Blue returned, Sirenla explained that the issue that was bothering her was that the 500-year seal that they had placed on Yidrea had expired, enabling Yidrea to team up with Karrasaliss for undoubtedly nefarious purposes. When Blue called over Sheba and Stelladi to ask for their help, Stelladi was hesitant because Sirenla apparently had a history with vampires, but Blue assured her that Sirenla had been "fine" for decades. After Sirenla added "as long as you aren't albino and male I don't think Wren will show up", Stelladi agreed to help.[9]
Once it was decided that their first step towards stopping Yidrea would be to try to find one of Karrasaliss's flesh puppets,[10] Blue set the exit portal of The Place That Wasn't There Yesterday to take them to Yorin's home on Drackovack. After Blue warned Yorin about Yidrea's escape,[11] Sirenla followed her friends to Yorin's library, where they found a large, intricately-detailed map of Karrasaliss's usual hunting grounds. When Stelladi advised the others that she would not be performing at her full potential during the daytime due to her vampiric nature, Sirenla commented "I thought the thing about vampires and sunlight was a m-myth?", which surprised Stelladi because she thought that Sirenla was a vampire hunter. However, Blue explained that the "vampire hunter" she was thinking of was Wren, Sirenla's split personality, who was, for all intents and purposes, a "totally different person". At Blue's suggestion, the trio then napped until the afternoon so that the sun would be low enough for Stelladi to be able to make full use of her powers once Blue had teleported them to Karrasaliss's presumed location.[12]
During Blue's battle against Karrasaliss, the evil enchantress boasted that she had "gotten rid of" Sirenla and Stelladi, leaving their fates uncertain.[13] However, Sirenla eventually returned in the form of Wren, who caught up to Blue, Stelladi, Dario Nethneth, and San II elsewhere on Drackovack. After Stelladi hit Wren with a lightning bolt for trying to attack Blue,[14] Sirenla woke back up in her body in a tree with no memory of what Wren had done, though she profusely apologized for Wren's actions on her behalf.[15] Once Blue had coaxed Sirenla down from the tree, Sirenla said hello to the "purple person of unknown species", San II,[16] who replied by saying "You can call me San".[17] After commenting that San had a nice name, Sirenla noticed that Blue was chasing a small insect, which she warned her not to eat because she was likely to get stung.[18]
