- ""It is the man himself! Look! He's grown young!"
- ―S. Tock Malychar remarks on David Dalton's new appearance[1]
Samuel Tock Malychar, better known among locals as S. Tock Malychar, was a young nobleman on Oquro who was killed by David Dalton.
History[edit | edit source]
S. Tock Malychar was a young nobleman who lived on Oquro. He was aware of the operations of TechnoDyne Industries on the planet and made an acquaintance of David Dalton, the subject of Project Heyerdahl.[1]
In 150,084 CMT, Malychar and his wife rode past the TechnoDyne building in a special horse-drawn carriage that was pulled by plague-proof robot horses. Though Malychar was unaware of the outbreak of the ghoul plague that had crippled the planet, he did notice the battle between David Dalton and Lucy Farr that was occurring outside the TechnoDyne building close to his carriage. Malychar remarked on the now-youthful appearance of Dalton to his wife, but refused to sit by and do nothing while Dalton brutally tortured what appeared to be an innocent young woman in plain view. With that in mind, Malychar climbed to the roof of a nearby building and fired wildly at Dalton with a P90 while screaming at Lucy to flee, but to his horror, the bullets bounced harmlessly off his target. Dalton then turned his attention to Malychar and used his newfound electromagnetic powers on him, pulling the metal buttons on his coat and the iron in his bones and blood out through his torso, crippling him, then compressed the resulting magnetic material into a ball that he then used to further torture Lucy.[1]
Once Dalton was done with Lucy, he returned to the dying Malychar and held him over the edge of the roof. Malychar begged for his life, but Dalton ignored him and let Malychar fall to his death.[1]
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- "S. Tock Malychar" is a play on "stock Maly character", for JS intended to portray him as such.
- S. Tock Malychar's appearance and quotes parodied Keanu Reeves's notoriously bad performance in the 1992 film adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula.
