The Russian Federation, more commonly known as Russia, is a country on Earth.
History[edit | edit source]
Nikolai Mikurin[2] and the Heavy both originally hailed from Russia.[3] It has also been implied that Admiral Nikolai Solokhoff of the Dominion is Russian, for he has a thick Russian accent.[4]
Renowned conspiracy theorist Jesse Ventura once claimed that Russian forces stormed Area 51 in G:1995.[5]
References to Russia[edit | edit source]
- In 150,084 CMT, Raigen ordered several bottles of Russian Standard-brand vodka at a bar on Liquid-Metallicon and offered some to Akzer.[6] Akzer found the vodka to be very strong and asked Raigen what Russia was.[7] In response, Raigen put on a Russian accent and gushed about the importance of vodka in Russian culture, explaining that it could be used to clean wounds, to warm oneself during harsh Russian winters, and as fuel.[1]
- In 150,084 CMT, Nikolai Mikurin was perplexed as to how the shop owned by Amy and himself was losing profits because aliens generally loved the Russian food that he sold.[8]
- In 150,084 CMT, Vance Vangelis sent Revolver Ocelot to assassinate Sefer Yetzirah aboard the Kusanagi. For the assassination, Ocelot was required to carry a sign with "I am here for the express purpose of assassinating Sefer Yetzirah" written across it in Russian. Despite the obviousness of this statement, it was still not enough to arouse the suspicion of Lucy Farr, who let Ocelot onto the Kusanagi anyway.[9]
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Though User Redwolf can be described as the living embodiment of Russia, he originates from the version of Russia that exists in the Users' home reality rather than the Russia that exists in the Original Universe.
