John Stewart, aka Green Lantern, is a human member of the Green Lantern Corps.

History[edit | edit source]

In 150,082 CMT, John Stewart arrived in Atlantis when the Joker had bound Aquaman and Mera in chains in preparation of his plan to cause all of Earth's fish to resemble him. Stewart incapacitated the Joker with a construct resembling a giant fist[1] and took him away. Stewart was sceptical of the ability of Earth's prisons to contain characters like the Joker, so he decided to send him to a Galactic Government-owned prison instead: Supermax 282.[2]

Abilities & Powers[edit | edit source]

Lantern Ring Powers[edit | edit source]

  • Energy Construct Creation: As a Green Lantern, John Stewart can use his ring to create transparent bright green constructs by tapping into his own willpower. All Green Lantern constructs can take any form that the bearer can imagine as long as they have the willpower necessary to generate the construct. These constructs exist only as long as Stewart is maintaining their existence through his own willpower and concentration.
  • Flight: John Stewart's Green Lantern Ring enables him to fly effortlessly through any environment at incredible speeds, protected by a personal forcefield.
  • Personal Forcefield: John Stewart's Green Lantern ring automatically creates a forcefield around him to protect him whenever he is travelling through an environment that would be dangerous to his species, such as the vacuum of space or the crushing pressures of ocean depths. The ring also creates an inner atmosphere inside the forcefield that keeps Stewart supplied with air and stabilizes his body temperature whenever he is travelling through environments of extreme temperatures. The forcefield is also capable of protecting him from cosmic radiation, microscopic particles, and debris which would ordinarily be fatal should it strike him while mid-flight.
