- "Well... you see... this isn't the only universe. There are countless universes in this dimension alone... then, there are the other nine dimensions. If you count the Hyperdimension, then you've got the full eleven dimensions that comprise traditional existence... oh, there's subspace, and that psycho-hole of a universe where the Nightmares came from, but that's neither here nor there."
- ―Namah[1]
The Hyperdimension is the eleventh dimension of the BZPB Multiverse.
Description[edit | edit source]
The Hyperdimension is the eleventh and highest known numbered dimension in the dimensional hierarchy of the BZPB Multiverse. It is the only known plane of existence that has a sufficient number of dimensions (eleven) that are required to support the natural forms of the Chousin, the caretakers and sole inhabitants of the Hyperdimension. The Hyperdimension is poorly understood by most inhabitants of the third dimension, whose traditional interpretations of the multiverse include ten 'main' dimensions only, but some knowledgeable individuals did indeed recognize the Hyperdimension as the eleventh dimension of the multiverse.[2]
The aleph point of the Hyperdimension is unique in that it can be used to view the lower ten dimensions of the multiverse instead of just the dimension that it is located in. The Chousin typically exert their abilities through the Hyperdimension's aleph point to manipulate the lower ten dimensions whenever they deem necessary, correcting aberrations that threaten the multiverse and maintaining equilibrium across each level of reality.[2]
History[edit | edit source]
During the creation of the BZPB Multiverse, the Users enlisted the three Chousin sisters - Tokimi, Tsunami, and Washu - and placed them within the Hyperdimension. The Chousin were tasked with nurturing and regulating the flow of time and the integrity of space in addition to balancing the fundamental forces of the BZPB Multiverse while the Users focused on developing their characters. Ten Dimensional Caretakers were appointed to assist the Chousin, with each caretaker watching over one of the lower ten dimensions of the multiverse while the Chousin acted as the caretakers of the Hyperdimension itself. Over the tens of thousands of years that followed, the Chousin used the aleph point of the Hyperdimension to monitor the status of the lower ten dimensions and used their abilities to make changes whenever they deemed necessary, subtly influencing the development of the multiverse.[3][4]
In 150,080 CMT, Zev Raregroove claimed to Malygos that the Chousin were a trinity of goddesses from the Eleventh Dimension (Hyperdimension) who created the universe and all of the dimensions of the multiverse. (However, the latter part of this claim was incorrect, as the Chousin were not the creators of the multiverse and its dimensions, but rather its caretakers.)[5]
In 150,081 CMT, Namah educated Moss and Yuuka on the traditional interpretation of existence, which was that the BZPB Multiverse was comprised of ten dimensions - eleven if she included the Hyperdimension,[1] though Namah admitted that she did not know much about the eleventh dimension. Ed assisted Namah by projecting a diagram of the BZPB Multiverse on the wall of the room and pointing out that the Hyperdimension was the dimension above the first ten dimensions in the diagram.[6]
In the Uterio War, Zev Raregroove had the idea to recruit Tokimi in the war against Uterio di Armechio.[7] Zev telepathically shared his idea with Viriathus, explaining that both Tokimi and Tsunami together would be more than a match for the Great Beings because "all of reality save for perhaps the Hyperdimension" was under the protection of the Chousin. However, Zev's telepathic transmission was immediately painfully hijacked by Tokimi, who reminded Zev that he alone did not have the power to decide whether the Chousin would intervene in events.[8]
In 150,084 CMT (Day 4 of The Mazkertis Paradox arc), the Chousin convened in the Hyperdimension to discuss the rise of Mazkertis and the potential ramifications that his actions could have on the timelines of the Original Universe and Dark Mirror Universe. After some debate, the Chousin decide to wait and see if the Claws of the Phoenix and similar alliances against Mazkertis will be successful before taking action of their own.[9] On Day 12, the Chousin reconvened around the aleph point of the Hyperdimension to share what each of them had learned about Mazkertis and the other prominent threats that were facing the multiverse at that time. Tsunami revealed that she had learned why the Living Stars had vanished from the Original Universe, transferring her knowledge to her sisters via a memory tablet. Once Tokimi and Washu had processed this new information, it was decided that Tsunami and Washu would use the aleph point of the Knowledge Dimension to discern the current whereabouts of the Living Stars while Tokimi would inform the last of the Time Guardians, starting with Quolas, of their fate.[10]
