In 150,084 CMT, a funeral was was held for Kong, the Commander-in-Chief of the Galactic Government, following his death at the hands of Boltman.
Description[edit | edit source]
This funeral was held at an unknown location on a date between Days 16 and 54 of The Mazkertis Paradox.[1] Many people attended, including important political figures from across the universe, and Klak[1] and Akoran Zicks.[2]
Zicks, who was an Admiral of the Galactic Government and a student of Kong, gave an emotional eulogy about his mentor and decided to leave before his grief got the better of him. On his way out, he was stopped by Klak, who lectured him on the hardship of death and the strength one must have to fill the void left by it. Zicks thanked Klak for his kind words, but silently rejected his advice. Zicks convinced himself that it would be pointless to try to administrate the Galactic Government in Kong's place, because there would never be anyone else suited to seeing Kong's vision through to completion, least of all himself.[2]
Immediately after the funeral, Zicks announced to GGNews that the next senate meeting of the Galactic Government would be made publicly viewable via a live synchronized broadcast.[2]
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The funeral of Kong took place in the six-week timeskip between Chapters 10 and 11 of The Mazkertis Paradox, along with many other funerals. At one of them, Sefer Yetzirah briefly met Klak and quietly remarked to him that all these deaths coinciding with Mazkertis's arrival must be a sign of the end times.[1] It is unknown which funeral this exchange happened at, though it could have been Kong's.
