The Chief Master Guru was an abusive and sadistic shaman who mentored Xavier in the ways of the spirits.
Description[edit | edit source]
The Chief Master Guru was an elderly, olive-skinned shaman with a sly demeanour who wore a headdress and more beads than Xavier had ever been able to count.[1]
History[edit | edit source]
In 150,084 CMT (Day 76 of The Mazkertis Paradox arc), Xavier had a flashback to a period of his adolescence that he spent under the tutelage of the Chief Master Guru. While the two shamans sat in front of a tent in an environment that resembled the Australian outback, the Chief Master Guru taught Xavier that, in order to create a strong friendship, one must plant the seeds of trust and maintain the garden that it would blossom into, for maintenance would lead to proper countenance in the face of a friend. Xavier asked the Chief Master Guru if he was his friend, but the Chief dodged the question by pointing at what he claimed was "a deer with a cantaloupe on its head" just out of sight. When Xavier turned to look for the deer, the Chief disappeared and hid behind a rock, leaving Xavier to roam the desert looking for him. The Chief chuckled to himself while he hid, saying "Too easy".[1]
