- This article is about the PAADABB member. Not to be confused with BBB. For other characters named Barry, see Barry (disambiguation).
In the Dark Mirror Universe, Barry B. Benson was a member of the Pennis And Also Dicke And Balls Bureau.
Description[edit | edit source]
DM Barry B. Benson resembled a stylized, human-sized honey bee with anthropomorphic features, including a human-shaped head that was complete with hair, eyes, a nose, a mouth, and teeth. He also had hands that had four fingers each and wore a jumper and shoes that were striped black and yellow to further emphasise his bee motif. However, DM Barry retained a bee-like lower abdomen, antennae, wings, and a large stinger. In addition, DM Barry claimed that he was "only part bumblebee" and that he could use his stinger as many times as he wanted without endangering his health.[1]
History[edit | edit source]
In 150,084 CMT (Day 69 of The Mazkertis Paradox arc), DM Barry B. Benson and the Pennis And Also Dicke And Balls Bureau interrupted the battle between the Dong Squad and Kek that took place on the PAADABB's homeworld. Kek chose to flee the battlefield rather than face both teams at once, leaving the PAADABB and Dong Squad free to introduce themselves to each other. DM Barry explained to the Dong Squad that Kermit went insane when his television show was cancelled and his girlfriend left him, pushing him towards dark magics that twisted and contorted his mind and body until he was transformed into the entity known as Kek.[1]
The PAADABB took the Dong Squad back to the Panus and Asenis base, where DM Barry was asked about legal advice by Ross Mandell.[1]
After the PAADABB and the Dong Squad agreed to join forces to kill Kek, DM Barry followed his allies out into the destitute city in search of the crazed former frog. In the battle that followed, neither the PAADABB nor Dong Squad met with much success until Punished Shrek pointed out that DM Soldier's long-ranged, combined attacks were doing more damage than the others' individual attacks. DM Barry followed Punished Shrek's commands and fired his stinger ray at Kek at the same time as the others fired their attacks, which weakened and overwhelmed Kek enough for DM D-Reezy to teleport in front of the monster and finish him off by impaling him in the chest with his staff.[1]
The allies returned to Panus and Asenis victorious, where the PAADABB (minus Hugh Neutron and Joey) entered a secret room and contacted Lord Zrintch to inform him of the death of Kek. Zrintch congratulated the PAADABB on their victory and revealed the reasons why he had turned Kermit to the Dark Side in the first place: to test the PAADABB and to "have some fun" with the Dark Mirror Universe in his absence. In addition, Zrintch said that he had hoped that Kek would have slain the Dong Squad, for they were an element of his plan that he no longer had use for, explaining that it was now up to the PAADABB to remove the Dong Squad instead.[1]
The PAADABB left the secret room and rejoined the Dong Squad in their celebrations while secretly waiting for a chance to stab their former allies in the back. However, DM Alex Jones was so disgusted by Zrintch's treachery that he informed Jesse Ventura that the PAADABB planned to betray and wipe out the Dong Squad, leading to a premature confrontation between Ventura and Punished Shrek. DM Barry attempted to mislead Ventura by claiming that Zrintch only wanted to form the two groups into one team, but Ventura was not fooled. As the two teams came to blows, DM Barry stung One-Punch Man with his stinger, the bee venom causing the costumed hero to lose consciousness. Before No Image Guy and Ross Mandell could attack DM Barry, Punished Shrek intervened, taking them both down with his own fists. DM Barry then prepared to sting Ainsley Harriott, but was hampered when the Ayy-Lmaliums fired spaghetti and meatballs at his wings that slowed him down. Ainsley took advantage of DM Barry's distraction to slam a skillet into his face, and Nigel threw a table onto him, pinning him to the floor.[1]
Abilities & Powers[edit | edit source]
- Flight: According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way that a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway, because bees don't care what humans think is impossible.[1]
- Stinger: Being part-bumblebee, DM Barry could deliver painful bee stings that contained many times as much venom as stings from normal-sized bees. His venom was strong enough to knock One-Punch Man unconscious.[1]
- Stinger Ray: DM Barry could fire a "stinger ray" from a distance as an additional means of attack.[1]
Trivia[edit | edit source]
