- "Don't be put off by his huge ego -- Rest assured, you two are a perfect match. I would know."
- ―The Architect to Blackout[1]
Ajisukitakahikone was a Royal Tree who the Architect unsuccessfully attempted to introduce to Blackout.
History[edit | edit source]
In 150,080 CMT, the Architect appeared to Blackout as a featureless white silhouette to warn him that Tsunami, having foreseen his future plans, had tweaked the Pandorica so that it would reject him if he tried to use it. However, the Architect offered Blackout a "consolation prize" by showing him a vision of what Darkmount would look like if it was fused with Ajisukitakahikone, an Ouke-no-ki (Royal Tree) who the Architect claimed could imbue Darkmount with the defensive power of eight Lighthawk Wings - a number that only treeships of Tsunami-fune's level could exceed. The Architect added that the Lighthawk Wings generated by Ajisukitakahikone would also allow Darkmount to follow the Sōja into subspace, evening the odds between him and Zev Raregroove, and that it was equipped with a powerful weapon named "Fury Buster" that he advised Blackout to use if he ever encountered something that "nothing else could beat". Finally, the Architect said that Ajisukitakahikone would allow only Blackout to refer to him as "Aji" or "Aji-kun" for short if Blackout accepted a partnership, because Ajisukitakahikone had a "huge ego" that the Architect claimed could match Blackout's own. The Architect then vanished to leave Blackout to consider his offer,[1] but Blackout rejected it because he was convinced that not even the Architect could stop his plan at that point.[2]
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Unlike most other Royal Trees in BZPB, Ajisukitakahikone seemed to be an original creation rather than originating from Tenchi Muyo!.
- In the real world, Ajisukitakahikone was a god of thunder in Japanese mythology.
