Yriel Bloodwatcher was an elvish pirate who once claimed that he was one of the most feared Pirate Princes in Dominion space.

History[edit | edit source]

In 150,083 CMT, Yriel Bloodwatcher decided to visit his brother, Tae'thelan Bloodwatcher, when he received word that Tae'thelan was on a mission for the Dominion on Ulduar. Yriel arrived at Tae'thelan's location on Ulduar and found his brother fighting alongside Tezzeret and Klak against the anti-Dominion rebels Ezuri and Mayael. Just as Ezuri was about to land a lethal blow on Tae'thelan, Yriel singed the side of Ezuri's head with a lasbolt blast, catching the rebel off-guard. Ezuri presumed that Yriel was another Imperial, which prompted Yriel to laugh and introduce himself as the captain of the Crimson Eye and the "most feared Pirate Prince on [that] side of the galaxy". Yriel then leaped into battle against the two rebels, keeping Ezuri at a distance with his spear while firing lasbolt blasts. Ezuri and Mayael soon decided to retreat and fled into a nearby complex; Mayael using her beasts to cover their escape.[1]

Though it seemed that the battle had been won, Yriel pointed out that the rebels had fled inside the ancient complex that Tae'thelan had been assigned to investigate, thus complicating matters.[2] The battle began anew when Klak opened a portal in front of the rebels that released a swarm of insects[3] and Toa Bob, who trapped Mayael inside a rock formation to buy Klak's allies time.[4] Yriel parried Ezuri's rage-filled slashes with his spear[5] until Klak launched a volley of light blasts in their direction,[6] which distracted Ezuri long enough for Yriel to trip the rebel over, pin him to the ground, and hold his lasgun to his head. Outnumbered and outgunned, the rebels surrendered to Klak,[7] who deferred his authority to Tae'thelan.[8] Tae'thelan instructed Yriel to clap the rebels in irons and take them before the Emperor on Dominaria so that the rebels would face judgement in Imperial courts. Yriel nodded and knocked the most troublesome rebel, Ezuri, unconscious in order to make him easier to transport,[9] then took the two rebels back to the Crimson Eye and left Ulduar on a course for Dominaria.[10]
