White Tail is a Beast-Type coyote spirit and one of the five Spirit Allies of Anna Raregroove.

Description[edit | edit source]

White Tail has shown traits that hint at seniority to Anna Raregroove's other Spirit Allies. He possesses a cool, composed attitude and holds pride in having a powerful nose, which can apparently "smell" shamanic ability.[1]

History[edit | edit source]

White Tail was once a coyote that died and ascended to the spirit world, where he became a Beast-Type spirit[1] with intelligence equal to that of an average human.[2] White Tail was summoned back to the mortal world to guide and train Silva of the Patch Tribe in the shamanic arts. When Silva was on his deathbed, he instructed his five Spirit Allies - White Tail, Silver Wing, Black Horn, Jewelnet, and Banded Rod - to train his daughter, Anna, in the shamanic arts like they trained him. White Tail and the other spirits could have returned to the spirit world upon Silva's death, but decided to honor their former master's last wishes and train Anna. At first, the five spirits only helped Anna out of an obligation to Silva, but over time, they all became such good friends with Anna that they wanted to train her regardless.[3]

In 150,081 CMT, Viriathus asked Anna if she could see her Spirit Allies, so Anna began to meditate and kindly asked White Tail and the others to materialize.[3] A few minutes later, all five spirits came to a consensus and appeared around Anna, with White Tail materializing on a couch next to her. White Tail then sniffed Vi several times and stated that he could sense that she had potential as a shaman.[4] Once Anna had introduced them all to Vi, she dismissed her Spirit Allies and invited Vi to spar with her instead.[5]
