In the Dark Mirror Universe, Taldaka was a Toa of Fire who was loyal to Tuyet.

History[edit | edit source]

In 3500 ADP, Taldaka, his friend Veriukii, and an unidentified Vortixx were patrolling an area below Xia when they came across D-Klak and Helryx. Klak attacked them and the Toa responded in kind: Veriukii formed a large metal wall between him and Klak, which Taldaka turned into a wave of molten metal using his fire powers. When Helryx neutralized the wave with her water powers, Taldaka took a different approach and stepped away from the battle to generate a Nova Blast. Helryx noticed this just in time and threw her mace at his head. The mace shattered Taldaka's mask, stunning him, so Helryx took the opportunity to try to incapacitate him by forming a sphere of water around his head. Taldaka responded by releasing what energy he had already generated, which covered most of the room in flames and blasted Helryx away. Helryx was unable to subdue all of the flames, so she grabbed Klak and ran for the exit, praying that they would be able to outrun Taldaka's explosive flames before he could release the full extent of his Nova Blast.[1]

Abilities & Powers[edit | edit source]

  • Fire Creation: Taldaka could create fires of varying size and intensity from his hands.[1]
  • Fire Control: Taldaka had complete control over fire and could shape it, extinguish it or cause it to jump from one place to another.[2]
  • Fire Absorption: Taldaka could absorb certain amounts of fire into his body, which became stored for use in future elemental attacks.[2]
  • Fire Nova Blast: In extreme circumstances, Taldaka could release all of his elemental energy in the form of a fiery Nova Blast, which would have been an explosion large enough to devastate an area the size of a large city.[1]
