Shevak was a Sith Lord who trained Kulnak in the Dark Side of the Force. After a confrontation with his former apprentice, Shevak fought Leviathan on Linkit, but was overwhelmed and killed by the Sahagin leader.

History[edit | edit source]

Early Life[edit | edit source]

Shevak was a Sith Lord who took on an apprentice, Kulnak, and trained him in the Dark Side of the Force. The two of them once went to the planet Tievie (before it was assimilated by the Borg) to look for people to recruit to their cause, but they were attacked by its Janitors and Shevak would have died if it were not for Kulnak's actions. Eventually, Kulnak abandoned Shevak and his order for an as-of-yet unknown reason. Because of this, Shevak decided not to recruit any more apprentices because they always betrayed him, so he faked his own death and vanished into obscurity.[1]

While hiding in the shadows, Shevak tried to build a new Sith empire but met little success because most of the people he tried to sway to his cause had never even heard of him and/or disregarded the Sith as a forgotten legend. However, Shevak was eventually able to persuade a few lackeys to follow him around (who he named "Imperials"), and stole a few rusty ships (which he named his "armada").[1]

An Awkward Reunion[edit | edit source]

In 150,084 CMT, Shevak's ship, a Lambda-class T-4a shuttle, detected a transmission of unknown origins that referred in part to Shevak. Shevak was curious to know who else had knowledge of him, so he flew to the source, an asteroid base in the space around Linkit, to investigate. Shevak boarded the base and spent a few hours trying to decode the signal, during which he discovered that the station was not from their universe.[1]

Coincidentally, Kulnak crashed onto the station in an escape pod shortly afterwards. Shevak sensed the presence of Kulnak and confronted him, telling him that, though he knew they would meet again, he was not expecting it to be so soon. Shevak then gave Kulnak an ultimatum: to rejoin him as his apprentice, or face the full power of the Dark Side.[1] Kulnak begged for Shevak to spare his life by offering to decode the rest of the signal for him - Shevak agreed because he saw this as an opportunity to easily kill Kulnak from a distance instead of fighting him directly. Shevak retreated to his ship and ordered his pilot to destroy the station; coincidentally, Kulnak doomed himself while trying to decode the signal by inadvertently activating the station's self-destruct protocol. Kulnak realized his mistake and ran into the fibreglass exit corridor of the station in search of escape, but became visible to Shevak in the process, so Shevak ordered his pilot to open fire on the Makuta. The laser barrage obliterated Kulnak's armor, but before Shevak could finish him off, DU Monarch appeared, stole Kulnak's antidermis, and vanished.[2]

Shevak then decided to abandon the signal and go home, but before he could, the base's self-destruct counter reached zero and exploded. Shevak's ship was crippled in the explosion and plummeted towards the surface of Linkit.[2]

Battle with Leviathan[edit | edit source]

It was later revealed that Shevak's ship had crashed on Linkit's surface and that his pilot did not survive the impact. Shevak, however, was a bit more fortunate, and emerged from the wreckage with a vengeance. After scaling the hill next to the shipwreck, he found himself overlooking a gathering of Agrippa and Sahagin beside a lake with an ancient portal beneath it. Leviathan emerged from the portal, and was welcomed to Linkit by an appointed Sahagin. Sensing the fear of the Agrippa with his Force powers, Shevak concluded that Leviathan ruled by fear, which he assumed meant that the Sahagin would be willing to accept a new leader if their current one was deposed. Shevak decided to ensure that that new leader would be him by deposing Leviathan.[3]

Shevak created a Force Storm with his powers which struck the lake with lightning and electrocuted Leviathan. The monster crawled out of the lake enraged and in pain, so Shevak revealed himself to the Sahagin and Agrippa by creating more lightning bolts to illuminate his position on the hill. He projected his voice to the Agrippa and Sahagin, promising them that he would free them from the tyranny of Leviathan. He prepared to electrocute the monster again, but before he could do so, Leviathan used his tail to splash water in the air and his power of water manipulation to encase Shevak in a sphere of it. The lightning lingering on Shevak's fingertips electrified the bubble, leading to a sudden but painful death. When Leviathan was satisfied that Shevak was dead, he dissipated the bubble and let Shevak's body fall on the rocks below.[3]

Abilities & Powers[edit | edit source]

  • Force Connection (Dark Side): Shevak was connected to the Dark Side of the Force, which gave him access to various abilities:
    • Force Lightning: Shevak's favorite Force power was the ability to fire streams of crippling lightning straight from his fingertips.[3]
    • Force Storm: An advanced technique involving Force Lightning, Shevak could use the Force to manipulate the weather and create lightning storms. From there, he could control and direct lightning strikes.[3]
    • Force Voice Projection: Shevak could use the Force to amplify the sound of his voice to cover a greater area.[3]
    • Force Empathic Perception: Shevak could sense and foster negative emotions like fear, anger, and hatred in others. [3]
