The Neo Ta'har are a remnant faction of the original Ta'har. They claim to be the closest followers of Ta'harok's intentions for the original Ta'har empire.

Description[edit | edit source]

The Neo Ta'har Empire is based strongly on the original Ta'har Empire, though without Ta'harok's strong leadership, the Neo Ta'har are much weaker. Many of the original Ta'har traditions, such as the leadership - the title of Kar - being passed down via the new leader defeating the old in combat, have been done away with.

The Neo Ta'har occupy a much smaller area of the universe than the original Ta'har, and possess a much smaller population and military. This is the cause of much resentment amongst the populace, who are still nostalgic for the days of the old Empire; Sefer Yetzirah was able to exploit this with the promise of the usage of the Fruit of Life, to secure an alliance between the Neo Ta'har and the Shinsengumi.

Titles[edit | edit source]

The Neo Ta'har are more interested in titles than the original Ta'har, who were more interested in doing deeds than being recognized for them. As a result, the Neo Ta'har possess an extensive hierarchy, including an entirely new ruling class of lords which had no equivalent in the original empire. Some of these titles are as follows:

  • Kar - Translates to Lord. The head of the Neo Ta'har. Unlike the original title, this is simply passed down from one Kar to the next. The current Kar is Ta'varak.
  • Ves'Kar - Translates to Greater Lord. Ves'Kars form the upper ranks of the Neo Ta'har lords, and include members of established families and households, as well as recognized warriors. Sefer Yetzirah was given this title when the Neo Ta'har allied with the Shinsengumi.
  • Das'Kar - Translates to Lesser Lord. Das'Kars form the lower ranks of the Neo Ta'har lords, and consist of government officials and military leaders.

History[edit | edit source]

Ta'varak, Kar of the Neo Ta'har, met with Sefer Yetzirah on Cassius Calm's homeworld, a territory of the Neo Ta'har. He initially refused her offer of an alliance with the Shinsengumi, before being tempted by the reveal of Sefer's possession of the Fruit of Life, as well as the power of her Stand, Cruel Angel's Thesis. He agreed on the condition that each member of the lord caste was given a Stand, to which Sefer agreed, on the terms that she was given the title of Ves'Kar.
