LORD ENGLISH and Homestuck are Property of Andrew Hussie, all rights reserved.

An incomprehensibly evil and immeasurably powerful demon, LORD ENGLISH was accidentally freed to wreak havoc when User Zev stole The Absolution to gain an edge in BZPB's current Session. His goals seem to simply be destroying all of Creation.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Thus far, all that is known for sure is that LORD ENGLISH is a hulking brute with dark green, veiny skin, and has spherical eyes flickering spasmodically between billiard ball patterns. As well, his epithet would suggest that he wears an overcoat of some kind.

Abilities[edit | edit source]

Though unspecified, LORD ENGLISH was able to prevent Jade Harley from teleporting away, and a mere exertion of his powers was able to distort and then crumble an entire planet. He's also capable of regenerating from most wounds, although the green flames generated by Jack Noir seem to be capable of hindering this. More likely than not, a vast array of further abilities exist at LORD ENGLISH's disposal.

As stated by Jade Harley, while LORD ENGLISH is nigh undefeatable, this is due to a condition which no one has been able to exploit: In every Session, a person dies who, in dying at the exact time, place, and by the exact cause, will make LORD ENGLISH undefeatable. As of the "Maid of Time" Aradia's interference and rescue of Noodle, for the first time in any Session, LORD ENGLISH can now be defeated on the mortal plane.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • As a "Chicago Overcoat" is a term in some circles to refer to a coffin, the term "Cairo Overcoat" likely refers to the uncanny sarcophagus LORD ENGLISH uses to travel within.
  • LORD ENGLISH's name likely comes from the term in pool, where an "english" is a spin on the cue ball, and his eyes consist of orbs semi-randomly flickering between billiard ball patterns.
  • As well, though it's a shakey possibility, it may be tied to how, in this Session, the death of a girl in England was the condition to give him true immortality.
