This article is about the representative of Bonta in the Council of the Wise. For the Nharvardan of the same name, see Hoot (Nharvardan).

Councilwoman Hoot was the representative of Bonta in the Council of the Wise.

Description[edit | edit source]

Hoot was a giant but elderly female anthropomorphic owl with white and gray feathers and a pair of forest-green tufts positioned and shaped like horns atop her head.[1]

History[edit | edit source]

In 150,082 CMT, Hoot and the other members of the Council of the Wise were informed that four beings from the Twelve Worlds had travelled through Incarnam with most of their abilities and memories intact (a rare thing for Incarnates) and that each of them would be relocated to one of the four nations that connected to Astrub.[2] Hoot read up on the life and death of the being who would be sent to her nation of Bonta: a Rogue named Peeply Lulu who was raiding a museum with her brothers when a dangerous artifact went berserk. Lulu had used her Boombot to propel her brothers to safety, but had died in the process.[1]

When the newly-resurrected Lulu appeared outside the Bonta Outpost in Astrub and regained consciousness, Hoot's voice encouraged her to enter the building so that she could get a better look at her. Inside, Hoot tested Lulu's memory by asking if she remembered the events that had led up to her reincarnation. Lulu recalled that she and her brothers had attempted to raid a museum, but that something had gone wrong and she had blacked out. Hoot found humor in the fact that Rogues considered heists to be akin to family trips, but assured her that her brothers were safe. As Lulu unsuccessfully continued to try to escape from what she hoped was an illusion, Hoot revealed the exact circumstances that had led to Lulu's death, much to the young Rogue's distress. However, Hoot looked on the bright side and reassured her that she had been given another chance to experience life and to contribute to the greater good, and that she would have ample opportunities to find her footing there in Astrub. Hoot then gave Lulu a passport disk and instructed her to take it to Owlboss in the center of Astrub so that he could officiate it and make her a citizen of Bonta. Lastly, Hoot warned Lulu to watch for her passport disk's reaction to the other new Incarnates and to be wary of Bontan boars. Once Lulu had taken in all this information, she thanked Hoot and left.[1]
