The Harbinger was a Great Being battleship that crashed on Bara Magna with an important cargo: the Key to Vector Sigma.

History[edit | edit source]

In 150,082 CMT, David Robert Jones informed Airachnid that her new mission was to go to the Harbinger, a Great Being-owned battlecruiser which had crashed on Bara Magna during the Uterio War, and claim its cargo for the ZFT. Abeloth and a team of about a dozen Rahkshi were assigned to accompany her.[1] Airachnid agreed,[2] so she and her team were teleported to a ship, which Abeloth flew to the location of the Harbinger.[3]

Their arrival at the crash site was witnessed by a Vrai, who retreated when Abeloth and the Rahkshi emerged from their ship.[4] Airachnid instructed some of the Rahkshi to accompany her while she searched the Harbinger for survivors,[5] but these Rahkshi were almost immediately attacked and killed by an unseen force,[6] so Airachnid burrowed underground in an attempt to attack their assailant.[7] Instead, Abeloth shot in the direction of the Rahkshi, which hit the assailant and revealed him to be a Vrai with cloaking technology. The Vrai attacked Abeloth, so Abeloth killed him, which negated the possibility of them getting answers as to why they were attacked.[8] However, Abeloth surmised that whatever the force was that was opposing them was likely to send reinforcements, so they should proceed with the mission and enter the Harbinger before they could be attacked again.[9]

Inside the Harbinger, Abeloth and Airachnid discovered a multitude of dead bodies, some of which had been shot or stabbed.[10] Abeloth scanned the wreckage[11] and located the lifesigns of another Vrai spy, so he stunned him and encouraged Airachnid to interrogate him.[12] Unfortunately, the Vrai activated a self-destruct on his watch during the interrogation,[13] but the explosion revealed a hidden door.[14] Behind this door was a room filled with boxes containing energy-powered devices.[15] In one of them, Abeloth found what he believed to be a key of some sort.[16] Airachnid immediately recognized the key, which she claimed to be merely a "legend"[17] - Abeloth commented that they now knew why the Vrai shot the Harbinger down.[18] Abeloth secured the Key in his chest compartment, and the two of them exited the shipwreck - only to be faced with a small army of Vrai waiting for them.[19] In the following battle, a meteor crashed in the distance, but it was ignored by the combatants.[20]

Later, a Vrai patrol outside the wreckage of the Harbinger was attacked and killed by either DU Muta or DU Ultron, who proceeded to enter and destroy the shipwreck (this was presumably the same character who crashed on Bara Magna in the meteor earlier).[21]
