Faye Valentine was a human crewmember of the Bebop II.

History[edit | edit source]

Faye Valentine once went on a vacation to a beach with Ed, Ein, Jet Black, and Spike Spiegel. Ed kept a picture of the four of them on the vacation saved in a protected folder on her laptop.[1]

In 150,082 CMT, Faye and Spike left the Bebop II in their personal spaceships on a mission to win some money to pay for a refuelling of the Bebop II. Jet Black wondered aloud how Faye and Spike were doing in their absence, which prompted Washu to ask where they were, so Jet informed her that Faye and Spike had left to collect money for fuel.[2] However, Jet clarified that he had no idea what planet Faye and Spike had departed to.[3]

Meanwhile, Faye radioed Spike on the planet that they had both landed on and told him that, not only had she won enough cash at a local casino to pay for the Bebop II's refuelling, but that she also had enough surplus to buy a jumper battery for his ship.[3] Faye left the casino before its owners could charge her and used her ship to fly back to Spike's location, where she tossed the jumper battery she had bought into his arms and told him not to worry about the battery's longevity, ere he would "start to sound like Jet".[4] Once Spike had finished installing his new battery, he and Faye flew back to the Bebop II and docked their personal spaceships in its hangar.[5]

Faye and Spike were welcomed back to the Bebop II by Ed, Ein, and Mamimi Samejima. Mamimi nervously approached Faye and began to ask her something, but Faye cut to the chase and told the girl that she had picked up what she had requested from the planet, handing her a dusty rectangular box. In response, Mamimi enthusiastically thanked Faye and hugged her.[5]

Faye then proceeded to the Bebop II's Filing Center because Jet Black had asked her to make sure that Archival Room Three was secure. Faye asked Ensign Czeska if she could take a look at the room, but Czeska discouraged her from doing so because she hadn't finished cleaning it up and didn't want anyone else to see what an awful state it was in. Czeska's nervous behavior caused Faye to become suspicious, but she decided to take the ensign's word that there was nothing unusual going on and left. As soon as Czeska was sure that Faye was gone, she entered the archive room and woke up Spike, who she had secretly been helping to find information about Vicious.[6]

Later, Spike told Minagi to go and do something productive, like "replacing Faye's wardrobe with clothes that don't give people the impression she's a streetwalker".[7]
