This article is about the slug-like former servant of Gaon Kug. For other characters named "Doug", see Douglas (disambiguation).

Doug "the Slug" was a slug-like being who served Gaon Kug as his personal chef until he decided to work against his corrupt regime.

History[edit | edit source]

Doug the Slug was once a friend of Sinjon Wol, but drifted apart from him when he decided to work for Gaon Kug.[1]

In 150,084 CMT, Doug brought a bowl of chicken spaghetti to his master, Gaon Kug, but Gaon was angered because Doug had forgotten to bring him his We'd.[2] Doug corrected his mistake by fetching some We'd and some more food from the royal treasury and delivering it to Gaon, who gorged himself on the food and went back to watching a Hoopz game.[3] Doug returned to his quarters to rest and reflected on the fact that he was unhappy with Gaon's hedonism and neglectful attitude towards his people, which led him to decide to kill Gaon the following day. Doug contacted Sinjon and asked him to assemble the Wol Rebels the following day to attack the palace. Sinjon was reluctant to trust Doug due to Doug's prior allegiance with Gaon, but promised Doug that he would help him if he wasn't lying. Doug thanked Sinjon[1] and spent the rest of the day preparing to kill Gaon by poisoning his food.[4]

That night, Doug fed Gaon the poisoned food and watched as the corrupt ruler went into convulsions, but forced Gaon to cough up the blood that clotted in his throat because he did not want him to die just yet.[5] Outside the palace, Sinjon detonated the explosives that the Tiger Youth had planted, creating an avalanche of rocks that formed a bridge over the walls of the palace and allowed the rebels access.[6] As the Tiger Youth moved into the bottom floor of the palace, Sinjon instructed Konn Kon, Will Willson, and Dengdengdeng-deng Deng-dengdeng to find and rendezvous with Doug the Slug. Sinjon and Kek Kug burst into the throne room and found Gaon dying on the floor, but Doug was nowhere to be found.[7]
