The Crucible was a planet-sized space station that served as the Daleks' headquarters. The Daleks planned to detonate a reality bomb onboard that would destroy the BZPB Multiverse, but were defeated.

History[edit | edit source]

The Crucible became the center of the Daleks' operations at some point in the ancient history of the Original Universe. The Daleks constructed a reality bomb aboard that they intended to detonate and destroy the BZPB Multiverse once the right conditions had been met. When Blackout discovered the threat that the Daleks posed to the multiverse as a whole, he gathered an army[1] that also included Artrix, BoM Master, Findor, Kakamu, Malygos, TMV, and Zev Raregroove,[2] among others, and declared war on the Daleks. A Dalek saucer then abducted Findor, so the allies chased it all the way to the Crucible, but most of the army was then destroyed by a single cannon blast and the survivors were captured and brought aboard the station. Blackout[1] and Zev[3] were both brainwashed by the Dalek Supreme and forced to attack their allies, but were freed when Malygos teleported to the main control room, deactivated the Dalek Supreme, and activated the Crucible's self-destruct function. All non-Dalek survivors were then teleported to safety before the Crucible was destroyed.[1]

In 150,080 CMT, Blackout, Overlord Blackout, Ynot, and Hollow Ynot were sucked into a crack in time that transported them back in time to the Crucible.[1] Blackout realized that they had arrived in the middle of the reality bomb crisis,[3] so Ynot decided that he would hide himself and do nothing in order to avoid interfering with the time stream (because he had not been present when the reality bomb crisis occurred).[4] However, the Daleks detected Ynot's presence and trapped him in a force field.[5] This made Ynot decide that he had had enough temporal shenanigans, so he used a Memory Seal to transport himself, Blackout, OB, and HY back to their own time.[6]

When Findor was kidnapped by a Dalek ship, everyone immediately pursued it, all the way to the Dalek Crucible. The massive army was destroyed by a single cannon blast, and the survivors were captured. Blackout was brainwashed and forced to attack his comrades. Malygos then ended the story by anticlimatically teleporting to the main control room, deactivating the Dalek Supreme, thus releasing Blackout from his brainwashing, and activating the self-destruct sequence. Everyone teleported out [...] Blackout got everyone sucked into a crack in time, and they were randomly teleported around space and time, ending up in the SMU's version of ancient Japan, Mahri Nui, Z'traa and the Dalek Crucible, before Ynot finally figured out a way to get back, but failed to take into account that his coming back would also take the Blackouts back."
