Current Multiversal Timeline

The Current Multiversal Timeline (CMT) is a dating system created by The Users to record the current order of events that have occurred in the BZPB Multiverse. The word "current" is specified because the timeline of the BZPB Multiverse is always subject to change, especially by time travellers or other beings who interfere with the time stream. Years within the timeline are assigned the suffix CMT to designate when they occurred in the timeline in relation to other years; for example, the multiverse was formed in 0 CMT, and the current setting of The Mazkertis Paradox is 150,084 CMT, 150,084 years after the formation of the multiverse.

Usage[edit | edit source]

The CMT dating system was created by The Users to record when events occurred within the BZPB Multiverse. It was first adopted by the Galactic Government, who implemented it as a galactic standard calendar; due to their vast reach, it became the primary calendar of much of the known universe. The people of Earth use the CMT calendar in conjunction with the Gregorian calendar (the primary calendar of their planet before they joined the Galactic Government). In addition, universes such as the Reborn Universe, which have not been exposed to the CMT dating system, use other calendars to denote time; in the Reborn Universe's case, the RBY/ABY calendar is used instead. It is currently unknown how RBY/ABY years correspond to CMT years.

Structure[edit | edit source]

It is unknown what exactly constitutes a year in CMT. It is known to have days, weeks, and months, but beyond that, nothing is known about its exact measurements.

Correlation to real-world dating systems[edit | edit source]

Although it was created by The Users, the CMT dating system does not correspond to real-world years. One of the only BZPB characters who seems to be aware of the passage of time in the real world is Santa Claus, who appears whenever it's Christmas in the real world, regardless of time in the OU.
