Batman is a costumed crimefighter from Gotham, Earth. Like many Earth-based superheroes, his civilian identity is a secret and kept separate from his life as a superhero. When not in his suit, Batman is Bruce Wayne, a multi-billionaire and the CEO of Wayne Enterprises; as Batman, he is relentless vigilante who strikes fear into the hearts of evil-doers.

Batman is a founding member of the Justice League, a team of superheroes dedicated to protecting Earth.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Batman is a tall and chiselled Caucasian male in his mid-30s to 40s. Due to his rigorous exercise routine, he is near the peak of human strength, and has the muscles to show it (but is still outclassed by One-Punch Man). Batman's suits have varied slightly over the years, but he prefers a black and dark-gray color scheme to help conceal his presence in the night. The cowl he uses to conceal his identity has whited-out eye slits and elongated "ears" to further emphasise his bat-themed persona. On his waist is a utility belt containing an assortment of useful items and gadgets.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Although he is defined by his emotionless exterior, Batman is a tormented figure. The death of his parents, as well as Jason Todd, are constant motivators in his battle against evil. His indomitable will has saved his life on more than one occasion, as have his impressive set of skills, acquired and maintained through hours of rigorous training every day. Because he relies most on himself and is reluctant to see friends get hurt, he prefers to work alone.

Honestly, this guy is such a complex character you could have a professional psychologist do a character study on him. Oh wait, at least one already has.

History[edit | edit source]

Origins[edit | edit source]

When Bruce Wayne was eight years old, he watched his parents gunned down in an alley by a desperate thief. Since that day, he has dedicated his life to pursuing justice against criminals. With the wealth inherited from his parents, Bruce used the assets of Wayne Enterprises to construct his secret lair, the Batcave, and an array of crimefighting tools and vehicles. He adopted a bat-like persona, and the Batman was born. In time, stories of Batman's crusade against evil spread across the cosmos and inspired others to follow in his path, such as Bat-Malchior. Batman's crusade against evil eventually brought him into conflict with several supervillains, including the Joker, Bane and Harley Quinn. In times of desperate need, Batman worked alongside other Earth-based superheroes to defend their world, and became one of the founding members of the Justice League as a result.

He eventually took on an apprentice, Dick Grayson, AKA Robin. When Dick matured into Nightwing, another apprentice named Jason Todd took on the mantle of Robin. Unfortunately, he died under mysterious circumstances. His loss affected Batman greatly; enough to discourage himself from forming bonds with other super-youths who require his guidance.

In the RPG[edit | edit source]

Batman first appeared in BZPB in the Hall of Justice, using Harley Quinn as a club to pummel the Joker with. He shouted at the Joker to stop burning down orphanages with oranges, but Cave Johnson interjected to explain that they were combustible lemons, not oranges.

When Ynot started fighting the various Lantern Corps to claim one of each Lantern Ring, some of the rings went to find new owners. Batman was selected by a yellow ring, a green ring, and a blue ring all at the same time and was transported to Oa for induction into one of the Corps. Kilowog told Batman of the menace that was going after the Rings, and asked him what he intended to do with his. Batman replied that he would surrender them because he has no need for superpowers, a fact that Kilowog found unsettling.

Batman later sent a holographic message to Mount Justice, informing Nightwing and Aqualad that he would be away from Earth for some time to pursue Hal Jordan's attacker (Ynot).

One year later, Batman was present during the Battle of the Log Cabin. However, since he was only mentioned onscreen, the extent of his participation in the battle (if any) is unknown.

Abilities & Powers[edit | edit source]

Although Batman has no superhuman powers, he is near the peak of human fitness, allowing him great strength and stamina. He has a brilliant mind: he is fiercely intelligent and knowledgeable in a great range of sciences, both Earthen and alien, and is more than capable of building gadgets and vehicles used to fight crime to his specifications. He also possesses near-unparalleled detective skills that are impressive enough to earn him the title of the "World's Greatest Detective" from some prominent figures.

Quotes[edit | edit source]

"So, what you gonna do with your rings, Bat?"

"Same thing I always do. Surrender them. I don't need superpowers."

"And that's why you are truly the most frightening of that League of yours and Hal's."

-Kilowog and Batman
