Artakha was a legendary being responsible for creating various technologies in the Matoran Universe.

History[edit | edit source]

Artakha was created by the Great Beings in the early days of the Matoran Universe to rule over one of the various islands, which he named after himself. The Great Beings also granted him a unique Legendary Kanohi - the Mask of Creation - which he used to help create many new technologies in the Matoran Universe.

One day, Artakha was visited by Washu Hakubi, who had learned of his talent in creating things and wanted to witness it for herself. Washu helped Artakha understand more abstract concepts that the Mask of Creation could not teach him, and they worked together on a number of projects, including Toa Stones, more streamlined airship designs, Kanoka disks, and other Kanohi masks.

Later, Artakha created the Toa Mata with the destiny to awaken Mata Nui if he ever fell asleep. He also created the designs for the Jetrax T6 and Axalara T9 vehicles, the first versions of which he sent to the Codrex in Karda Nui.

Somewhere between 40,000-50,000 CMT, Artakha was visited by Trantoshen, who had grown extremely bored of the Matoran Universe and wanted Artakha's help in seeking a new frontier. Artakha agreed to help, but made him a modified, extremely powerful Kanoka of Teleportation for Trantoshen to use to return if he ever changed his mind. With that, Artakha teleported the Toa out of the MU and onto a nearby inhabited planet.

In 100,031 CMT, Artakha discovered the existence of Rabot, who had appeared on his island as a babbling madman due to being driven insane by Tren Krom. Artakha cured Rabot's insanity and explained to the now-lucid Toa what had happened to him. Artakha also said, however, that his talents came at a price: one favor, to be redeemed at a later date. Rabot agreed.

Decades later, when Blackout had brainwashed thousands of Matoran to dismantle the Matoran Universe, Artakha decided to cash in his favor with Rabot. He summoned the Toa to his island and gave him a special mission to fulfill outside the MU. Artakha sent Rabot into a coma and placed him inside a bubble-like capsule which he then teleported into space. An explosion above the robot sent Rabot flying across space and outside Artakha's reach. Next, Artakha teleported himself, along with many non-brainwashed Matoran (including Orvik) to another planet in order to escape Blackout. (It is currently unknown what Rabot's mission actually was.)

Artakha has been publicly missing ever since that day, but some Matoran on the Mata Nui II believe that he inhabits a secret chamber on Level 6, where he works tirelessly on ways to improve the Matoran way of life.

Abilities & Powers[edit | edit source]

  • Concept Visualization: Artakha's Kanohi, the legendary Mask of Creation, allowed him to visualize imagined objects or devices in great detail and showed him exactly how to construct them.
  • Telepathy: Artakha was one of the most, if not the most, powerful telepaths in the entire Matoran Universe. He was able to navigate even the most labyrinthine minds with ease, bypass the mental shielding of Order of Mata Nui members, cure insanity, induce comas, and even switch the consciousnesses of two bodies. His telepathic reach covered the lengths of the entire Mata Nui robot (almost a thousand miles).
  • Spatial Manipulation: Artakha had the ability to transport himself, other beings, and objects great distances by warping the space around them. This ability originally could not extend past the outer shell of the Mata Nui robot (for there was something in the composition of the shell that blocked his powers), but when holes in the robot were created by keen explorers or travellers from other worlds (such as Muta), Artakha gained the ability to send people or objects beyond the Mata Nui robot and into space.

Artakha's Creations[edit | edit source]

And much more...

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • To Kon's knowledge, Artakha never actually appeared as a character in the BZPB RPG itself. He was only mentioned as existing by other characters and used to explain the absence of characters like Rabot from the plot.
