This article is about the housing inspector on Malchior IV. For other characters named Anna, see Anna (disambiguation).

Anna Abernathy is a housing inspector who works for the Control City Housing Department on Malchior IV.

Description[edit | edit source]

Anna Abernathy is a human woman who wore a suit, glasses, and a hardhat in her investigation of the Batcave.[1]

History[edit | edit source]

In 150,084 CMT, Anna Abernathy was sent to evaluate the suitability of the Batcave for housing because the Control City Housing Department had received reports that the Batcave had a flooding problem. She was in the middle of her inspection when F-Blackout, Anarky, Rahn, Julio, Shadow Blade, and 553 emerged from a portal and found her there taking notes. Abernathy informed them of her purpose there and asked Rahn, who she addressed as "ma'am", how long he had been an owner of the property. Rahn replied "I'm not a woman, and I'm not the owner", to which Abernathy said "That's not going to get you out of this mess, ma'am".[1]

F-Blackout then informed Abernathy that he was the owner of the Batcave and that there was no flooding problem, but a tide of water that engulfed Shadow Blade as he opened the door to the kitchen proved F-Blackout wrong. As Frenzy swam out of the kitchen,[2] Abernathy drew her attention to the manic robot, asking if it was a pet - she was concerned because her records indicated that cave owners were required to inform the CCHD if they kept pets on the property, and because the CCHD didn't want another "Cave Beast Incident" happening again.[3] After F-Blackout convinced Abernathy that he had no pets in his possession, only idiots,[4] Abernathy commented that F-Blackout should not talk about his daughter like that (apparently assuming that Rahn was F-Blackout's daughter).[5] F-Blackout tried to explain that he and Rahn could not be related because he was the color blue,[6] to which Abernathy replied that she could not racially discriminate. Finally, Abernathy completed her investigation, stating that the only problem she found with the Batcave was with its plumbing, and encouraged them to fix it. Anna then departed from the Batcave. Once she was out of earshot, Julio commented to the others that he thought she was cute.[7]
