In the near future, the Andromeda Hotel & Casino was a hotel and casino located on Coreli.

History[edit | edit source]

In 150,089 CMT, the Vrai mercenary Leon Trudeau informed a reptilian colleague of his that he would be checking into the Andromeda Hotel & Casino on Coreli for a week. Two days later, the reptilian sold this information to Rainn Sulrai, another mercenary who had previously survived a failed assassination attempt by Trudeau and wanted to learn who had hired Trudeau to kill him. Rainn decided to trust the reptilian's word and took a shuttle to Coreli.[1]

Rainn was greeted by an immaculately dressed doorman upon arriving at the Andromeda Hotel & Casino, which caused him to assume that the casino would be a rather formal, stuffy place, but he soon discovered that the hotel security were the best-dressed people in the hotel, with most of the patrons inside being clad in casual or work garb. Rainn forwent visiting the casino in favor of the restaurant to find something to eat, but found that the restaurant itself was basically a noisy club catered by elvish waiters and waitresses in comical, revealing outfits. As Rainn sat down at the restaurant's bar and ordered a drink, he noticed a closed door guarded by two bouncers that piqued his interest. Rainn asked the bartender what was going on in the blocked-off room, who replied that it was a private poker tournament occupied by a bunch of "uber-shady" men. Though the bartender was hesitant to divulge their names to Rainn, a drunk Terugan at the bar named Yon overheard them and told Rainn that one of the men was indeed named Leon, and that the group were led by a "creepy goth lady". Rainn thanked Yon by buying him more drinks.[1]

Yon then decided to help Rainn by charging at the guards and yelling that he had a bomb, which created a distraction that enabled Rainn to bypass the bouncers and open the doors to the poker tournament. However, Rainn was immediately knocked unconscious by one of the mercenaries inside, who proceeded to tie up and blindfold Rainn. While the mercenaries discussed what to do with Rainn, he woke up and goaded Trudeau on his failed assassination attempt. Each of the mercenaries then left to fetch the 'lady', who would decide Rainn's fate.[1]

About half an hour later, the mercenaries returned with the lady in tow. The lady removed Rainn's blindfold and was shocked to see his face, prompting her to order the mercenaries to leave. Once she and Rainn were alone, the lady shapeshifted back into her usual form, revealing herself to be Aster. After some bickering, Aster decided that she would let Rainn talk to his would-be assassin Trudeau about who had hired him on the condition that Rainn would leave as soon as he had his answer; Rainn reluctantly agreed. Aster then left Rainn and went to talk to Trudeau herself, who revealed that it was the ZFT who had hired him to kill Rainn - the same organization that Aster's mercenaries were about to attack. Aster and Trudeau then approached Rainn, and, once Aster had untied him, Trudeau revealed the identity of his former employers and that the ZFT thought that Rainn was dead. Trudeau then let slip that his team of mercenaries led by Aster were preparing to steal something "really important" from the ZFT, but before Rainn could ask what, Aster reminded Rainn of their agreement and ordered him to leave.[1]
