Alghikk Major is one of four planets that naturally support the Irumok species.

Description[edit | edit source]

Like all Irumok homeworlds, Alghikk Major is a small planet whose atmosphere is permeated by pollen from gigantic flowers named Rhil'ghu. This pollen is harmless to most races and enables the Irumok to breathe unaided. It is unclear whether Alghikk Major inhabits the same planetary system as Alghikk Prime, Alghikk Minor, and Alghikk Micros, or whether "Alghikk" is merely an Irumok descriptor instead of the name of a planetary system.[1]

History[edit | edit source]

In 149,966 CMT, a rogue Varia Storm Guardian travelled to an Irumok village on Alghikk Major in pursuit of an unsanctioned target. The resulting battle led to the deaths of several Irumok women and children who were presumably caught in the crossfire. When the leader of the Varia at the time, Tyr, discovered this, he personally executed the rogue Storm Guardian and visited the Irumok village on Alghikk Major to meet with its leaders. There, Tyr got on his knees and begged the acting warchief, Blegnekk, for forgiveness, because he felt that he had failed as a commander due to the disobedience of his subordinate and the unnecessary bloodshed he had caused. Though Tyr and Zev Raregroove succeeded in repairing the fragile truce between the Varia and the Irumok, Blegnekk held them responsible for the murders and refused to forgive them for at least a hundred and fifteen years.[2]

In 150,081 CMT, Zev Raregroove recalled the incident on Alghikk Major to explain to Xanxus why Blegnekk held a grudge against the Varia.[2]

  1. Irumok (revision on 23:58, Jan 29, 2011): "Only four planets are known to support Irumok naturally - Alghikk Prime, Alghikk Major, Alghikk Minor, and Alghikk Micros. This is because these four planets are home to gigantic flowers called Rhil'ghu. Released from these flowers at all times is a pollen which has permeated the atmosphere, and while non-harmful to all known races so far, this pollen is critical for Irumok to breathe unaided."
