SM Raito Nakamura, in disguise as his Original Universe counterpart Akoran Zicks, announces that he will use his newly-gained authority as Commander-in-Chief of the Galactic Government to disband the organization altogether, leading to widespread chaos and confusion across the universe.

The 3784th Assembly of the Reverie took place on Day 56 of The Mazkertis Paradox arc in a senate chamber in the orbit of the Galactic Government homeworld Mariejois.

The assembly was announced at the funeral of Kong by SM Raito Nakamura, who had secretly replaced his Original Universe counterpart (who was better known by the "honored title" of Akoran Zicks) as part of a scheme to destabilize and collapse the Galactic Government to cause widespread chaos across the Original Universe. The coincidental murder of the previous Commander-in-Chief, Kong, by Boltman a few weeks prior caused the title to be passed to SM Raito, giving him the opportunity to accelerate his plans. SM Raito announced the 3784th Assembly under the pretence that the Reverie would meet to discuss how to handle Kong's unfinished business in the wake of his death - but in reality, SM Raito wanted to use the event as an opportunity to announce his intention to use his newly-gained administrative powers to disband the Galactic Government.

SM Raito's announcement caused widespread chaos as planned - but the Gorosei Masahito Nakamura, who outranked him in power, reversed SM Raito's actions before the Galactic Government could truly collapse.

Announcement[edit | edit source]

In 150,084 CMT, SM Raito Nakamura attended the funeral of Kong in disguise as Admiral Akoran Zicks (Nakamura's counterpart from the Original Universe who was a close friend and pupil of Kong) as part of a plan to use his counterpart's authoritative powers to destabilize the Galactic Government from the inside. At the funeral, Nakamura pretended to be grief-stricken while delivering a bogus eulogy about Kong and when he encountered Klak, who lectured Nakamura on the hardship of death and the strength one must have to fill the void left by it. Nakamura then informed a representative of GGNews that the next assembly of the Reverie, a council consisting of a representative from each member state of the Galactic Government that convened as necessary to discuss matters of extreme importance, would be viewable by the public in the form of a live broadcast to each of the Galactic Government's member states. Although Nakamura stated that the purpose of the next assembly, the 3784th, would be to discuss how the Galactic Government would change after the death of Kong,[1] Nakamura secretly intended to use the assembly as a means to announce his intention to use his newly-gained powers as Commander-in-Chief to disband the Galactic Government altogether, which he hoped would cause mass chaos and panic.[2]

The Assembly[edit | edit source]

On Day 56 of The Mazkertis Paradox arc, the 3784th Assembly of the Reverie commenced in a massive senate chamber within a space station that orbited the Galactic Government homeworld of Mariejois. While GGNews filmed and broadcasted the conference live across the universe, SM Raito began his address to the Reverie by delivering a speech about Kong that honored his contributions to the Galactic Government and praised his lifelong dream that all worlds, no matter how prosperous, could enjoy the benefits of a centralized government. However, before SM Raito could finish his introductory speech, he was interrupted by the unexpected opening of a portal behind him which temporarily disrupted all outgoing transmissions, including the public broadcast of the conference itself, due to electromagnetic interference. The assistant to the representative of Naboo panicked and shouted that a communications disruption could only mean invasion, but SM Raito dismissed such a notion as ridiculous. After four unfamiliar aliens emerged from the portal onto SM Raito's podium, the portal closed, which ended the electromagnetic disturbance and allowed the public broadcast of the conference to continue.[1]

The leader of the aliens pushed past the astonished SM Raito to use the podium's microphone to introduce himself to the Reverie as Captain Eurobeat, naming his companions as Niflheim, Leviathan, and Strika. Leviathan then revealed that she and her allies had interrupted the conference to warn the Reverie about a wizard named Mazkertis who had embarked on a mission to change the timeline of the universe itself, which could have disastrous consequences for them all if the Galactic Government did nothing to stop him. However, most of the Reverie dismissed Leviathan's warning as either nonsense or alarmist fiction created by the Revolutionary Army to disrupt the inner workings of the Galactic Government. Frustrated that he was losing command of the chamber, SM Raito then returned to the microphone to announce the real reason he had gathered the Reverie: to announce his intention to use his newly-gained authority of Commander-in-Chief to disband the Galactic Government altogether. SM Raito attempted to justify his decision by arguing that the modern Galactic Government was the brainchild of Kong alone and that it could not be maintained without him, especially since its resources had been crippled by the Uterio War and because other intergalactic alliances like the Cooperative had begun to encroach on their territory.[1]

Although SM Raito's announcement prompted outrage and disbelief from the Reverie, he continued to defend his decision by stating that he had already begun to make arrangements for its closure, specifically mentioning that the Galactic Government's Supermax prisons would be sold to the Blackwatch Corporation, its territories undergoing civil unrest would be provided for by charities such as the Red Cross, and that the Reverie were capable of negotiating trade agreements and other treaties among themselves. The representative of Naboo asked SM Raito to give him control of the Galactic Government instead if he did not want the job, but SM Raito rejected his proposal and affirmed that his decision was final, concluding the conference by departing with the words "You all only want to keep it afloat because you get paid to come here". The chamber then descended into chaos, with many members of the Reverie panicking about the future of their worlds whilst verbally attacking each other, with some (such as the President of Space India) even getting into physical altercations with other delegates.[1]

Just as Captain Eurobeat, Niflheim, Leviathan, and Strika were about to leave to find someone else to help them in their war against Mazkertis, they were approached by the representative of Earth, President Donald Trump, who persuaded them to stay by offering them what he called the "opportunity of a lifetime". After Trump revealed that he knew that they had been telling the truth about Mazkertis because he had previously met Mazkertis himself, he offered to help them kill Mazkertis by lending them the services of three of Earth's best assassins: Agent 47, Seeldier, and the Joker. However, there was a catch: each of these assassins were imprisoned in Supermax 282, a prison that was now outside his influence, meaning that they would have to be broken out to be useful to them. To sweeten the deal, Trump added that their reward for freeing the assassins would be the "permanent allegiance of Earth" in all of their future endeavours. Driven to desperation by the disappointing returns of Project D and their other connections, the aliens agreed to Trump's deal and departed through a portal to Supermax 282.[1]

Aftermath[edit | edit source]

Because it had been viewed live by thousands of civilizations, SM Raito's announcement caused widespread panic and chaos across the universe, especially among worlds that relied on the Galactic Government for protection. Panic was widespread despite the fact that SM Raito's authority as Commander-in-Chief only permitted him power over "certain governmental divisions" such as the Space Marines and not the Galactic Government as a whole. In the confusion, the commanders of some of the Galactic Government's outposts immediately ceased operations, causing four planets - XTR-378, Yoon-Ta, SD-349, and New Vourah - to be attacked and devastated by the Yautja, the Sycorax, the Space Pirate species, and the New Dalek Paradigm respectively. The Gorosei were enraged by SM Raito's actions, with Masahito Nakamura, Akoran Zicks's father, initiating a manhunt for his "son" to be found and brought to him dead or alive. The Gorosei and the High Courts of Mariejois determined SM Raito's actions to be illegal in record time and issued a warrant for his arrest, but SM Raito disappeared.[2]

Almost three weeks later on Day 76, Masahito Nakamura delivered an address to the public on the same channel that the 3784th Assembly of the Reverie had been broadcast on to apologize for the actions of "Akoran Zicks" and inform the public that, despite the turmoil that had occurred as a result of the announcement, the Galactic Government remained in existence and that former Fleet Admiral Sakazuki had been elected as the new Commander-in-Chief to replace "Zicks", who had seemingly gone into hiding after the 3784th Assembly of the Reverie.[2]
